Justin Bieber’s ‘Graduation’ on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show”

She always has special treats for her guests, and Ellen DeGeneres had a very cool surprise for Justin Bieber earlier this week. In an episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” set to air today (May 23), the “Boyfriend” singer is treated to a graduation ceremony to celebrate his recent GED completion. Justin received a gown and a specially-designed cap that hovered above his head as Ellen noted “how important his hair is.” DeGeneres also shared her feelings of pride over his accomplishments as she presented him with a diploma.

Does Kim Kardashian have a problem with Valium & sleeping pills?

These are some new photos of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West in Cannes. For real!! Kim and Kanye are in the South of France for a reason, y’all. And the reason is not just “famewhoring”. According to Page Six , Kanye will premiere a new film tonight in Cannes. The film is called Cruel Summer – unfortunately, it’s not Kanye’s epic docu-drama on the awesomeness that is Bananarama. The movie is being called an “immersive ‘Seven Screen Experience’ for the eyes and ears unlike anything West has attempted before.” Kanye directed, wrote and produced it. I would imagine that it’s not very good, but God knows. Damn it, now I can’t get the song out of my head. I HATE YOU KANYE. That’s not true. I love this song so much. In other Kanye-Kim news, Radar and some Australian tabloid are now claiming that Kim could be a pillhead. Hm… According to a shocking new report, Kim Kardashian has a growing pill popping habit that has her sister Khloé is concerned — and putting her foot down — and RadarOnline.com has all the details for you. “She’s freaking everyone out right now,” an insider told Australia’s NW magazine. “She’s taking Valium and sleeping pills. The last time she self-medicated was when she split from Reggie Bush [two years ago,] when everything felt impossible. Khloé’s really freaked out by it: she found a bottle of pills and knew straight away what Kim was doing.” The insider — calling Khloé “the queen of tough love” — said the wife of Lamar Odom has issued sister Kim a non-negotiable ultimatum: get clean in three weeks, or she’s telling both their mother Kris Jenner and Kim’s current beau, Kanye West. The fashionista, 31, began the self-destructive behavior, the insider told the magazine, as pressure mounted in the wake of her public split with ex Kris Humphries , and a nonstop work schedule. “It started with just a little bit to take the edge off or help her sleep, but she could become dependent upon pills, which worries her,” the insider told NW. “I think she’s secretly pleased Khloé found out because she’d have struggled to stop on her own.” Request for comment was not returned at time of posting. [ From Radar ] But! Kim’s spokesperson did tell The Mail that the report “is ridiculous.” And considering the whole story originated with an Australian tabloid, I tend to think it’s BS too. Plus, for all of her faults, I just don’t buy that Kim is a drug user, whether it’s prescription drugs or illegal drugs. The woman barely drinks any alcohol – she’s not some crackie. Her drugs of choice are fame, money and plastic surgery. Last thing – yes, Kim is totally wearing the exact same Pucci gown that Gwyneth Paltrow wore to last year’s Emmys . Is it weird that I kind of like it better on Kim? Not from the back! But from the front, I kind of like the way Kim fills it out. Photos courtesy of WENN.

Nick Stahl Focused on Healing in Rehab

Now that Nick Stahl has checked into rehab after his wife reported him missing to the Los Angeles Police Department, the actor is focused on healing. His wife Rose tells People magazine that she’s “elated” to have him resurface, and she’s hopeful that he’s finding the help he needs during his 30-day-stay at an undisclosed rehab facility. The 32-year-old Terminator 3 actor has reportedly been going through the worst addiction cycle of his life, and has lived apart from his family since February. Rose tells people she’s even had to ask, “How dark is it before the dawn?” because she finds comfort in it. But Nick’s family isn’t giving up, they’re asking for fan’s support, and saying they have a lot of hope.   .

Katie Holmes feels betrayed by Tom Cruise’s broken promises to make her a star

A story in this week’s issue of In Touch revolves around this new batch of photos taken of Katie Holmes on 4/26. These pictures show the formerly perky actress looking weathered and truly exhausted with dead eyes, greying hair, and a generally unkempt appearance. While a make-up free Katie certainly isn’t a rare thing, she truly has seen better days than these photos would reveal. According to the story, Katie is feeling the strain of her marriage and is “ devastated ” that she’s not “ living the charmed life Tom Cruise vowed to give her .” So I’m guessing that a $125,000 monthly shopping budget no longer fills the void caused by Xenu, his minions, and her tiny, lift-wearing husband? In Touch has spoken to an insider who claims that Katie is frustrated over a flagging career ( her IMDb page confirms this), and that she’s really upset that Tom won’t do a film with her like he supposedly promised when they married. She also is allegedly upset that Tom leaves her alone so much to film all his movies (and pretend to be a serious rock star ). Well I’ve always assumed that Katie enjoyed her Tom-free time because it seems like it would be more exhausting to be with him than without him. Who knew? As Katie Holmes walked around a bustling New York City on April 26, she hardly looked like the beaming starlet who accepted Tom Cruise’s romantic marrigae proposal just a few years ago. “She looked really tired,” an onlooker tells In Touch of the gray-speckled 33-year-old. “She seemed sad.” Indeed, katie doesn’t have much to smile about these days, as her husband, Tom Cruise, reignites his career — and fogets the promise he made to help make his wife a big star. While Tom works nonstop — he just finished filming Oblivion in New Orleans and is promoting Rock of Ages — dedicated mom Katie looks after their 6-year-old daughter, Suri. “Katie thought that being married to a huge star like Tom would open doors for her,” says a source, although both stars’ reps obviously deny the story. “But she’s not being offered the roles Tom vowed to get her.” Now she feels neglected. “This isn’t the life she signed up for, and she feels depressed.” [From In Touch, print edition, May 28, 2012] If this story is true, I can sort of understand Tom’s perspective in not acting alongside Katie in films. Not only is she kind of a tone-deaf actress, but he probably chose Katie (for his infamous round of wife auditions) specifically because there would be no danger of her eclipsing him in talent like Nicole Kidman threatened to do. The more successful that Nicole became as an actress, the less she faded into the shadows behind Tom, and Tom really seems like he needs to be the focal point of his relationships — probably because of his adorable little Napoleon complex. I’d like to feel sorry for Katie if she truly feels unfulfilled in this contract marriage, but she’s the one who signed up for this mess. Most of us would have been out the door at the first sign of couch-jumping madness. Photos courtesy of Pacific Coast News

Dina Eastwood admits that Clint’s “not doing cartwheels” over their reality show

Last December, we first brought you the terrible news that Clint Eastwood and family were filming a reality show and that Clint was dead set against the idea , but his wife (Dina Ruiz, the star of the show) insisted. In March, those dreadful rumors were officially confirmed , and April brought us the show’s trailer, which was even worse than imagined . Clint not only makes the presumed cameos but is also heavily featured in the trailer, and the promotion is heating up for the show’s premiere date of … May 20. Oh lordy. Now Dina is promoting the show — which she swears will primarily focus only on herself, her daughters, and the band she manages — with an interview in this week’s issue of Star. If you ask me (and you haven’t), she’s probably sugarcoating Clint’s reaction to this whole mess: Was Clint into doing the show? “He’s not doing cartwheels, but we’ve been married for 16 years. He knew what he was getting into.” Is Clint the next Bruce Jenner? “He appears in episodes because he’s a good husband, but none focus on our marriage. It’s about me being a haggard mom.” On discovering Overtone (an a capella boy band): “I went to South Africa with Clint for Invictus . I heard them sing, and I’ve been their momager for three years. They’ve lived with us off and on.” Does she worry about hunky boy singers around her daughters? “These guys are out of the ’50s. They carry grocery bags. They open doors. There’s no sneaking around.” What does Clint think? “Clint has faith in me and the kids. I’m the sergeant; he’s the lover. He’s like, ‘Oh, let the gals have fun.’” [From Star, print edition, May 28, 2012] Mark my words, this reality show will cause a rift in the Eastwood marriage. Even if Clint really isn’t around for most of the filming, he will experience the fallout as the (inevitable) successive seasons and spinoffs make themselves known. Dina’s claims that the episodes don’t focus upon their marriage don’t really matter because subtle issues will inevitably come to the forefront in the narrative carved by the editing room. This will be a royal mess. Also, anyone who willingly describes themselves as a “ momager ” might need their head examined. Photos courtesy of Fame/Flynet and YouTube

Tom Cruise Gets Intimate with Playboy June 2012

Ladies, you might find yourself wanting a copy of June’s Playboy issue because none other than Tom Cruise opened up in an interview about his belief in Scientology, his marriage to Katie Holmes and how his career almost tanked. The “Top Gun” actor talked about the challenges of living under the microscope telling Playboy, “There’s what people say, and there’s reality, and you can’t worry about stuff like that. Do you wish they wouldn’t say certain things? Yeah, you wish.” Tom’s acting career almost ended when tabloids exploded with gossip about his marriage and religious preference and the attention intensified after odd interviews several years ago with Matt Lauer and Oprah Winfrey . However, the 49-year-old didn’t give up explaining, “There comes a point when you just have to go, ‘You know what? Here’s how I’ve lived my life: I’ve never been late to set. I make films I believe in. I feel privileged to be able to do what I love.’ You just have to keep going and remember that.” adding, “The other stuff? I hear it, I read it, I get it. But life is not a matter of trying to prove anything to anybody”. When it comes to Cruise’s family he’s not afraid to fight back false media claims, “They know I mean it, that if I have to, I will sue,” says Cruise. “You start with a letter saying, ‘Okay, you know it’s not true. Apologize.’” It’s easy to see Tom is very much in love with his wife Katie because when asked about her, he gushes, “She’s funny and charming, and when she walks into the room, I just feel better. I’m a romantic. I like doing things like creating romantic dinners, and she enjoys that. I don’t know what to say—I’m just happy, and I have been since the moment I met her. What we have is very special.” Tom also touched on his religious beliefs saying, “What’s interesting is, if I don’t talk about my religion, if I say I’m not discussing it or different humanitarian things I’m working on, they’re like, ‘He’s avoiding it.’ If I do talk about it, it becomes, ‘Oh, he’s proselytizing.’” Cruise added, “I have respect for what other people believe. What I believe in my own life is that it’s a search for how I can do things better, whether it’s being a better man or a better father or finding ways for myself to improve. Individuals have to decide what is true and real for them.”

Jason Biggs: TIME Magazine’s "Are You Wife Enough" Spoof

He’s already spoofed the KONY 2012 founder’s meltdown earlier this year and now Jason Biggs and Jenny Mollen have reenacted one of the most controversial magazine covers to hit the stands. On Sunday (May 16), the couple paid tribute to Mother’s Day and the controversial TIME magazine cover that released last week by showing off a Twitter pic of Jason breastfeeding from his wife with a caption reading, “Are you wife enough?” The phrase is meant to mock the mag cover that reads “Are you mom enough?” as Jamie Lynne Grumet is seen breastfeeding her three-year-old son. The controversial photo was meant to bring awareness to attachment parenting. Whether or not the real photo made a positive or negative impact on the parenting method, it’s sure making a headline wave around the world!

Tom Cruise talks about Katie Holmes, CoS, couch-jumping & more with Playboy

There are good and bad things about the summer blockbuster season. One of the bad things: the movies aren’t always very good, and many of the actors starring in those films kind of phone it in when it comes to promotion. One of the good things: bigger stars, bigger photo-ops, bigger publicity campaigns. I’ve been so focused on Snow White & the Huntsman, Prometheus and The Dark Knight Rises that I often forget that Rock of Ages is also going to try to get some of the summer-blockbuster pie. Personally, I think Rock of Ages looks like a train wreck. But I’m not really into 1980s nostalgia, and I’m still not buying Julianne Hough as some kind of movie star. Which brings me to this – Tom Cruise’s promotional work in support of Rock of Ages has begun. Cruise is “The Playboy Interview” for the June issue – you can read the piece online here . I have to say… I didn’t hate the way Tom puts himself out there in this interview. He’s always been known for being hyper-focused and intense, and he’s still that guy. But I like that he doesn’t have any problems discussing the couch-jumping and the Today Show incident, both from 2005. Some highlights from the piece: On turning 50 this year and looking so young: “I honestly have no idea. [laughs] I work. I’m always with family. I train, go without sleep. I just go hard… When I made Taps, really my first film experience, I remember lying at night in the hotel room, thinking, I love this so much. I’d wanted it since I was four, and there I was, thinking that if I did my best on Taps, maybe I could do this for the rest of my life. Turning 50, when I’m still doing this, is okay. On July 3 I’ll be in Iceland, filming on my birthday. My family, my wife, they understand. It’s who I am. I’ve spent many birthdays on a movie set, all great days. Work ethic and values: “I’ve always had the same values. Family for me has always been important. When I shoot, everybody comes. When Kate’s shooting, I’m there with her and the kids. We’re always together. I’m always around my mother and sisters. I always wanted to be a father, a husband. And I’ve always had a work ethic. I’ve had paying jobs since I was about eight years old—cutting grass, raking leaves, paper routes, selling Easter cards and Christmas cards.” There was no drama when Jeremy Renner was brought in for MI 4: “No, because here’s the thing: I had creative control and final cut on Mission Impossible. I brought Renner in. So there’s a separation between what’s happening versus what people say. This is something I learned growing up, moving and always being the new kid. There’s what people say, and there’s reality, and you can’t worry about stuff like that. Do you wish they wouldn’t say certain things? Yeah, you wish. Does refuting things help? Not really. There comes a point when you just have to go, You know what? Here’s how I’ve lived my life: I’ve never been late to set. I make films I believe in. I feel privileged to be able to do what I love. You just have to keep going and remember that. The other stuff? I hear it, I read it, I get it. But life is not a matter of trying to prove anything to anybody.” What he learned from the Oprah couch-jumping & Today Show incidents: “I agree with you, and I never meant it that way. When I go back and look at it, I find myself thinking, I don’t feel that way. I get how it came across, but I don’t feel that way, and I never have. Telling people how to live their lives? I saw how that came across and how pieces were edited… But it was important to me to take responsibility, take a hard look and decide where I go from here. That time was interesting. It was that moment when the internet had really spun out. It was a learning experience for all of us, how these things go. All you can do is learn and say, “This is the way it’s going to go from now on. Here is the line.” On the Church of Scientology: “What’s interesting is, if I don’t talk about my religion, if I say I’m not discussing it or different humanitarian things I’m working on, they’re like, “He’s avoiding it.” If I do talk about it, it becomes, “Oh, he’s proselytizing.” Reviewing the whole thing and how things can be edited and misinterpreted, I decided, You know what? Here’s the deal. I take responsibility for what happened, but everyone now knows that if I am dealing with humanitarian things, I will talk about that. When I’m promoting a film, I’m not going to get caught up in anything else, and that includes all my personal things.” Standing up to bullies: “You have to. There’s one thing you know with a bully. I don’t care how big or mean they are. If you allow it, if you don’t stand up to that.… And there are different ways to do it. There’s the school yard, but sometimes just confronting them works. I learned hard lessons as a kid, and you think that once you grow up and aren’t at school, it will be different. It isn’t; it’s just bigger. I was being evaluated by the world. You have language barriers. There are lots of ways to incite incidents through miscommunication. The internet has made it more immediate for false stuff. I’ve learned to just let it go or communicate where you can. Since the beginning of my career, you can find something with anyone.” Suing over false stories: “They know I mean it, that if I have to, I will sue. You start with a letter saying, “Okay, you know it’s not true. Apologize.” There is a point with a lot of things when you just go, You know what? I don’t want to waste my time with this. I’m busy. I’d rather spend this time with my kids and my wife, at home or on our movies, creating a life together. If you have kids, it is the most important thing to create good times.” On Katie Holmes: “She is an extraordinary person, and if you spent five minutes with her, you’d see it. Everything she does, she does with this beautiful creativity. When she becomes interested in something, she doesn’t talk about it, she does it. One week I said to her, “You’ve been up in the middle of the night. Is everything okay?” She smiled and then threw this thing on my desk and said, “I wrote this script.” She wanted to try it, and she did. She wanted to try designing clothes, and now her line is wonderful and, to me, an example of how she just creates beautiful things in her life. She has a voice and warmth as an artist, as a mother. She’s funny and charming, and when she walks into the room, I just feel better. I’m a romantic. I like doing things like creating romantic dinners, and she enjoys that. I don’t know what to say—I’m just happy, and I have been since the moment I met her. What we have is very special. [From Playboy ] Tom also gets asked if he thinks he was ever hacked by the British press, and Tom says “maybe.” But he also says that he puts that kind of stuff in “a minor pile of things I have to handle.” There’s also some stuff about his voice lessons and dance lessons for Rock of Ages, none of which inspires that much confidence that his performance is going to be incredible. Still… I like this version of Tom. I know he’s crazy and the Church of Scientology is dangerous, etc, etc, but I always end up finding Tom to be kind of sympathetic. I can’t help it.
