Last night was the LA premiere of Jesus Henry Christ , the film which Julia Roberts co-produced with her sister Lisa. Julia doesn’t star in the film – it features performances by Michael Sheen and Toni Collette, two wonderful actors. But Julia was still THE STAR of the red carpet, meaning that she was the most photographed person there, and considering Julia’s red carpet appearances are few and far between, let’s talk about her! What do you think of her school-girl ensemble? Eh. While I like that Julia is the rare over-40s actress who doesn’t feel the need to tart it up and show off too much skin, I feel like this look is “too young” in a completely different way. I actually thought Julia was in costume as a Catholic school-girl for a moment, you know? Still, the dress looks comfortable. And Julia still has those great legs. Does anyone else think Julia needs to stop parting her hair down the center? She needs to mix it up with a side part, I think. Julia’s little niece Emma was there too. She went monochromatic as well. I would love to see Julia and Emma switch outfits – Julia in the smart suit, Emma in the high-necked black dress. Right? They should have switched. And here’s Michael Sheen! So cute. Drawing out the biggest names in Tinseltown, Paul McCartney and wife Nancy Shevell welcomed a long lineup of star power to the “My Valentine” video premiere in West Hollywood on Friday night (April 13). Among the big names turning up for the Beatles legend’s event were “Twilight” leading lady Kristen Stewart , Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow , pregnant actress Reese Witherspoon and Victoria’s Secret supermodel Miranda Kerr Others joining in on the privately held debut screening included Gwen Stefani, Zooey Deschanel, Rumer Willis, Amy Smart, Jordana Brewster, Ginnifer Goodwin and Pamela Anderson. As for McCartney’s tune’s visual production, three videos accompany the song – with one featuring Natalie Portman, one starring Johnny Depp and the third bringing both of the big names together.

She"s one racy lady! Zara"s fourth day at Cheltenham – and yet another stunning hat
As I previously mentioned, Jennifer Lopez is the April cover girl for Vogue Magazine . These are some of the selected shots from Mert & Marcus’s photo shoot… while I like J.Lo in red, it becomes overkill. We get it, she’s fiery. Enough. Try another color. You can read Jennifer’s full Vogue interview here . Since I’m writing this very early in the morning, I can only admit to skimming the piece for highlights. Marc Anthony makes an appearance at the beginning of the interview, with the writer noting, “Lest you think it’s all smiles for the cameras but war behind the scenes, the two spend the next hour huddled in her dressing room, still friends after all these months.” Meaning that Jennifer kept the Vogue interviewer waiting for an hour while she flirted with her ex-husband. That’s all you need to know, baby. How J.Lo lives: The house, a classic white brick manse, is huge—nine bedrooms—and sprawls out from the center hall with two giant wings. The interior is echt J.Lo: luxe, modern, and sexy—dark floors, gray curtains and walls, pastel-colored furniture. Her assistant, Gilly, deposits me in Lopez’s office and says, “Jennifer will be down shortly.” I hear kids shrieking somewhere upstairs. Like Lopez herself, the office is both masculine and feminine. There are wood-paneled walls and wingback chairs, a killer sound system, and a fur throw draped over a sofa. There’s a huge plaque (30 MILLION ALBUMS SOLD WORLD-WIDE); a ledge full of various film- and music-industry awards; and on her desk, nude shots of J.Lo for the advertising campaign for her forthcoming perfume, Glowing (the sample fragrance bottle actually lights up). A quick glance at the shelves reveals a taste for the classics (The Grapes of Wrath, Shakespeare); memoir (Arthur Miller’s Timebends); and self-help (Lies at the Altar: The Truth About Great Marriages). On the glass coffee table there is a big, lush book on Pucci, which somehow seems perfect. How she is with Casper: Despite the scary tattoos and shaved head, Smart was polite and very friendly. They are clearly besotted. Indeed, they cannot keep their hands off each other, and it is impossible not to notice just how happy Lopez is around him. Benny Medina is the love of her life: “Puffy was like, ‘You need Benny Medina!’ ” says Lopez. “So I brought him up to my hotel room and played him the first song I ever wrote, and he was like, ‘OK, I’ll manage you.’ ” Other than a two-year-long “estrangement” (her word) that ended when Lopez was seven months pregnant, the two have been thick as thieves ever since. Medina, who is gay, knows Lopez as well as anyone. When I ask Lopez if she thinks of him as her “gay husband,” she laughs and says, “Yeah! I kinda do!” But then she gets more serious. “I just think of him as a real, creative soul mate. He’s been the most consistent man in my life besides my dad. We love each other. People always ask about all the men I dated, and I am like, ‘You know the Benny and Jennifer story? That’s the real story here.’ ” Her diva reputation, and where she was in 2005: “I had such a reputation,” she says of that time. “And it was sad because I felt like it so didn’t represent who I really was.” But as she herself will attest, in some ways the negativity came from within. “I think of myself on that day at the studio on Long Island and how insecure I was about my own talent. I just never really gave myself any credit. And because of that, nobody else did either. You mirror what the world mirrors to you.” She thanks Anthony for helping her believe in herself. “He always told me what a beautiful voice I have. He was like, ‘It’s in there; you just gotta let it out. It’s a confidence thing with you.’ Then all of a sudden one day I was like, I’m good at this!” Here she gets as worked up as I have ever seen her. “Oh, man! People are not giving me jobs because they feel sorry for me! I am an actress. I am a singer. I am a performer. That’s what I do! Once I started giving myself a little credit, the whole world opened up.” J.Lo on tough love: “By nature I am not tough, believe it or not.” Really? “No. I am a lover. And with my kids I am even softer. I realize with my son, I have to sometimes be tough, especially now when he’s pushing boundaries. With my daughter, I can get a little stern with her and she pretty much will listen. But my son will just scream and yell and run. I’m like, Aaaaah, what do I do with this?!” On Casper: She describes herself as a “mushy romantic.” When I ask her what she can tell me about her boyfriend, she says, “Not much,” and giggles. “He’s adorable. But you already see that.” He seems very loving and sweet, I say. “He is. He really is. He’s a good egg. I don’t want to talk about it too much. It’s my private thing.” On Marc Anthony: “The men kind of drink beer and smoke cigarettes, and women kind of like . . . don’t. But those things were not the issue so much. It became about something else. Without going into detail . . . it’s just really, really sad. And look, we are still going through it, and it’s emotional sometimes and difficult. We’re still friends—and we’re parents. But it’s going to take time.” She pauses. “It’s tough. But for the most part, I feel very proud of the way we’re handling it. I really do. We are doing the best we can for the kids. What you saw today, on Ellen, it’s very dignified and trying to be above all the emotions and pain that come along with a divorce and a family breaking apart. This is grown-up stuff. It’s real, serious, grown-up stuff.” Loving herself: Lopez leans forward and shows me a ring she has on her finger. Someone gave it to her right after her divorce as a reminder to “love myself first,” she says. Indeed, it is a diamond band that spells out: I LOVE ME. “That may sound conceited, but it’s not. If you don’t love yourself, you can’t love anybody else. And I think as women we really forget that. All we want is to be happy, to feel secure, to feel understood. But you can’t look for somebody else to do that for you. You think about it. . . . Oh, yeah, of course I care about myself. Of course I have good self-esteem. But when you really take a good look, you are not treating yourself like someone who does. And when you let people treat you in a way that you don’t want to be treated, it’s not their fault. It’s yours.” [Via Jonathan Van Meter/VOGUE ] Of course, I left out some choice comments by Benny Medina, many of which we already covered yesterday . I also left out a gem from Van Meter, who described his first impression of Marc Anthony, back in 2005. Apparently, Anthony was just standing around Jennifer’s photo shoot, “drinking cans of beer and chain-smoking Newports.” OMG. This explains so much! As for the interview… it was fine. Jennifer is getting better at self-editing, which helps when she’s putting herself out there as a lovable nice-girl. I’m not a J.Lo hater, so I’m buying it. I guess we kind of missed out on covering some of the girl-drama that went down at the Oscars and some of the post-Oscar parties. I didn’t cover it mostly because I sometimes forget which girls dated the same dudes. Like, it didn’t occur to me that Cameron Diaz and Kate Hudson might still hate each other because Camy started dating Alex Rodriguez right after he dumped Hudson. Maybe I forgot about it because I just think, “Who cares that much about A-Rod, really?” That wasn’t the only girl-dramz involving Camy, though. Camy is currently grinding on P. Diddy. P. Diddy grinded on Jennifer Lopez more than a decade ago. Camy and a nipply Jennifer Lopez presented together and had an ass-off, which was – like Angelina’s leg – a dumb non-scandal that got blown out of proportion. Still, I guess we can try to make this really budget Uncool Bermuda Triangle happen: When “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez — in yet another plunging and cleavage-revealing dress — was spotted introducing her new boyfriend Casper Smart to former flame Sean “Diddy” Combs at the Vanity Fair Oscar party, Smart, 24, appeared a bit uncomfortable. But confident Combs was later seen canoodling with his new gal pal Cameron Diaz at the bash, and joking around with Kate Hudson. The hip-hop mogul — who jumped onboard as an executive producer of the documentary “Undefeated” earlier this month — told us he was delighted that the film had just won an Oscar. “I’m just going to enjoy it,” said Combs. “I am really happy.” When we asked about his plans for partying into the night with Diaz, he continued the spontaneous tone, saying, “I’m going where the wind takes me.” [From Page Six ] I hate that Diddy and Camy are all official now. When I first saw this Life & Style report claiming that Uma Thurman is totally allegedly pregnant, I thought, “Yeah right.” First of all, I can’t even keep up with Uma’s love life – she’s had an on-off relationship with Swiss playboy Arpad Busson for YEARS, and I actually thought they were currently “off.” Second of all, Uma always looks pregnant. I’m not saying that to be mean or anything – she’s a tall woman who gains weight almost exclusively in her boobs and abdomen. She’s looked pregnant for years. As it turns out, though, Uma actually is knocked up – her rep is confirming it! Uma Thurman is reprising her role as a mom. The 41-year-old actress is expecting her third child, a source exclusively tells Life & Style. “Yes, Uma is pregnant!” a friend of Uma’s tells Life & Style. “She hasn’t announced it yet, but a lot of her friends were asking her because they could tell the difference when they saw her at New York Fashion Week. She’s usually so skinny, but now she has the cutest little bump and a glow about her.” Indeed, the former model kept covered up while sitting front row at Tommy Hilfiger on Feb. 12, wearing a baggy blouse and loose blazer. She also stepped out recently in NYC at the Room to Grow fundraiser, which supports babies born into poverty. “She’s excited,” the insider shares. “She’s happy and just a few months along right now. She’s due in late, late summer.” The father is her businessman boyfriend Arpad Busson, a friend of Uma’s confirms. Uma has two children with her former husband Ethan Hawke. As for Arpad’s baby-daddy situation – he famously has two sons with Elle Macpherson – and Elle always said that he refused to marry her. He has a real thing for leggy blondes, doesn’t he? Congrats to Uma, though. You rarely see photos of her kids, and I get the feeling she lives a very normal, low-key life in New York. Yesterday, we covered a story about Seal’s ex-girlfriend, Tatjana Patitz, who claims that he indeed has a violent temper , and she’s glad that Heidi Klum has separated from Seal for the sake of the children. Who really knows about the true nature of Tatjana’s motives for speaking out on the matter, but her words do lend credence to previous reports that Heidi and Seal’s split had a lot to do with Seal’s alleged emotional volatility. As stated previously, I believe that Seal does have an anger management problem that he keeps under wraps in favor of the very passive, eloquent demeanor he recently displayed during the “Ellen” appearance . This belief is based upon my own observations of abusive relationships and not upon any sort of generalization. Now the tabloids are now painting an even more frightening picture of Seal’s behavior towards Heidi and women in general. Yesterday, I was hoping that Seal’s alleged temper merely meant that he was a screamer or puncher of walls if anything, but Star puts forth an account of Seal’s anger escalating during a mid-January fight, wherein he pushed Heidi with such force that her security guard had to break things up and “ physically restrain Seal .” Scary, right? Star also talked to an insider on Seal’s recent tour who says that he generally treats women with disrespect. This is getting pretty ugly: “We will be connected [for] the rest of our lives … through this tremendous admiration, respect and love that we have for each other,” Seal said of his estranged wife, Heidi Klum, on the Jan. 24 episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” But the “Project Runway” host may not share that sentiment — as Star can exclusively reveal that Seal pushed her in a blowout fight just before their split! According to a family insider, the couple, who wed in May 2005, got into a full-blown screaming match at their L.A. home in mid-January. “Heidi told friends that Seal just lost it,” the insider tells Star . “He was screaming — and, she said, he pushed her. It was horrible.” The encounter escalated to the point that Heidi’s security guard had to intervene, a source tells Star . “He had to physically restrain Seal,” the source says. And Seal’s bad behavior toward women extends far beyond Heidi, 38. While on tour with the “Kiss From A Rose” singer, a female employee claimed a number of men on Seal’s crew subjected her to sexual advancement and verbal harassment — calling her a “hooker” and accusing her of “screwing” her boss. When the situation was brought to Seal’s attention, he dismissed it “as a harmless joke,” a source tells Star . Then “after a campaign by the male crew members to get her faired, she was sacked.” It all may be a sign of who Seal, 48, truly is. “How can a man with a wife and daughter just let this happen?” says the source. “He just doesn’t seem to care.” [From Star, print edition, February 13, 2012] There’s also a story in this week’s issue of In Touch that fills in more about the Tatjana tale that we covered yesterday but also quotes an insider that believes Seal is “ acting like he’s still in love with Heidi ” as “ an important marketing tool ,” which is probably true to an extent. Still, I think that Seal is being outwardly charming to try and woo Heidi back, and he’s probably not nearly as passively loving behind closed doors. In Touch also includes another statement from Tatjana that Seal was very kind in the early months of their dating relationship because, “ In the courtship, it’s different. ” Well, it’s always different at the beginning of every relationship, right? But if you’re dating a person with anger problems, such changes can be much more jarring than simple matters like, say, simply being less thoughtful as a relationship wears on. The supernatural thriller stars Leslie Bibb, Ryan Kwanten , Amy Smart , Christian Serratos , Jamie Chung, Scout Taylor-Compton and Johnathan Scaech.
