Here’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino at the launch of his new limited sunglasses line caled, “The Situation Origination Series.” Of course he’s showing off his revolting abdominal muscles while presumably showcasing the glasses as well. What really annoys me is that there are probably some dudes who will actually buy these overpriced pieces of plastic because they buy into Sitch’s “brand” which is definitely not gay . Or something like that. As for Sitch himself, he just finished a two-month stint of supposedly “ resting at an undisclosed location “ — but of course we all know the dude was in rehab. While it’s easy to assume that Sorrentino was in for coke addiction , he now insists that it was all because of a prescription pain pill problem, which he reportedly developed because being famous is so hard: From “Dancing with the Stars” to dancing with the devil, The Situation’s had a busy few years. Now, Jersey Shore’s Mike Sorrentino opens up to MTV’s Sway about the substance abuse that landed him in rehab, and RadarOnline.com has all the details for you. The Situation said that his recent stint in recovery was to curb a nasty pill popping habit — a story RadarOnline.com was first to report back in March. “My addiction was prescription painkillers. At first, I thought it gave me energy, I thought it helped me,” he said, citing the nonstop travel demands and plane rides expected of those in show business. “Being in this business is not easy.” The reality star said he “made a mistake by picking a substance over what I previously chose, which is fitness.” He said that he never had any other abuse issues to deal with — i.e. alcohol, cocaine or marijuana — nor did he ever mix his pills with any of the aforementioned substances. While many might believe his villainous nature on the show might have left him with a lack of support from castmates, The Sitch said that isn’t the case. “At the end of the day,” he says, “all the kids care for each other.” [From Radar Online ] Yeah sure, it’s not “ easy ” pulling the gym, tan, laundry routine every day of one’s life and doing nothing else but spouting delusional rants while walking around with one’s wang hanging out . Poor Sitch. He’s got it so rough. In the meantime, a barely-pregnant looking Snooki (she’s about five months along) has been pimping her new (ghostwritten) book, Gorilla Beach , and she says that the upcoming Season Six of “Jersey Shore” (which will be shooting this summer) will see her in her very own private home. So I guess that means she’ll be visiting the “Shore” house itself for filming, and she’ll probably be super pregnant by then too: Season 6 of “Jersey Shore” just dropped another major bomb, TMZ has learned … Snooki will NOT be shacking up with her fellow castmates this summer — instead getting her own private nest nearby. Sources tell us … the mama-to-be is taking her pregnancy very seriously, choosing to live NEAR the “Shore” house rather than IN it because it’s not worth it to be surrounded by boozy, loud roommates while pregnant. If you recall, Snooki announced she was knocked-up in February — when she was already 3 months along — which means while filming this summer she’ll be in prime popping position … all the more reason to have a pad of her own. The guidette’s absence is just another in a slew of “Shore” changes this year … which includes a sober Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino (who just got out of rehab) and the possibility of adding a Snooki-baby to the cast. It’s shaping up to be the most boring BEST season ever! [From TMZ ] I suppose that it’s pretty smart for Snooki to have insisted upon her own home while shooting the next season of the show. At least she won’t be around all the liquor or the clogged toilets courtesy of Ronnie. So gross. During the promotion for Gorilla Beach , Snooki reportedly (according to WENN) made an announcement that she was dedicating this latest book to “ my husband ,” which will likely cause speculation that she’s already gotten married to fiance Jionni LaValle. I don’t buy it though. Snooki’s just trying to stir the gossip mill, and there’s no way in hell that she’d get married without selling the photos to Us Magazine, who would probably (and unfortunately) be interested in buying them. UPDATE: Snooki covers this week’s issue of In Touch with an exclusive on the sex of her baby, and from her answer, I’m guessing that at least there won’t be as much leopard print involved in the nursery decor: Snooki tells In Touch that she and Jionni are deciding between two names – Lorenzo or Jionni Jr. And while she’s thrilled to welcome a son, the 24-year-old admits she was hoping for a mini-me. “I thought it was going to be a girl. I was hoping it would be, because all girls want girls,” Snooki says, at first disappointed, but added, “It’s still my baby, no matter what. I’m excited either way!” Proudly showing off her baby bump at her In Touch photo shoot, the mom-to-be says she’s traded in her beloved pickles and now craves icy, cold treats. “I love anything cold and juicy, like Italian ices.” But even more surprising? While some women find their sex drive enhanced during pregnancy, you won’t find Snooki and Jionni anywhere near the smush room! “Our sex life is hardly there! I got my new issue of Vogue a few days ago, and when I sat down to read it (cover-to-cover, because that’s how I roll), I was surprised by several articles about Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee and the 2012 Olympics. This was American Vogue , not Vogue UK – I didn’t really understand why Anna Wintour is suddenly such an Anglophile. But I guess this year (or more specifically, this summer) is all about the UK since they’ll be hosting the two biggest media events of the year. So, for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, there are now a bajillion documentaries, TV specials, interviews, articles, etc about the Queen and her reign. One of those documentaries is called Elizabeth: Queen, Wife, Mother (in that order). It will air in the UK, and hopefully here in the US too (because many Americans have affection for Ol’ Liz). The documentary is said to be pretty comprehensive, and they did get a long interview with Prince William. He mostly talks about his grandmother and only a little bit about his wedding: On the eve of his April 29, 2011 wedding, Prince William didn’t get much shuteye. “[The crowds] were singing and cheering all night long, so the excitement of that, the nervousness of me and everyone singing — I slept for about half an hour,” the 29-year-old royal tells TV host Alan Titchmarsh in Elizabeth: Queen, Wife, Mother, airing in the U.K. June 1. Sleepiness was the least of his worries, however. “The hardest thing was trying to walk down the stairs with my spurs on, sideways. I had visions of myself and my brother [Prince Harry] colliding and crashing down the stairs.” In the months leading up to his big day, “there was very much a subdued moment when I was handed a list with 777 names on it — not one person I knew or Catherine knew,” William recalls. “I went to [Queen Elizabeth] and said, ‘Listen, I’ve got this list, not one person I know — what do I do?’ And she went, ‘Get rid of it. Start from your friends and then we’ll add those we need to in due course. It’s your day.’” In addition to talking about his stylish wife, 30, William also opens up about the tight bond he has with his grandmother, 86. “We’re definitely a lot closer than we used to be. I think being a small boy it’s very daunting seeing the Queen around and not really quite knowing what to talk about or what to ask her.” He adds: “I think over the years that’s got a lot better. I’ve grown up — hopefully — a little bit and tried to understand a bit more about her role and my own role.” Knowing he’s destined to become the King of England one day, William admits: “There’s not much wriggle room left for me to try and find my own path, but I will do. It’s just a matter of learning what’s gone before me.” “Everyone’s fascinated by the Queen’s life and how she’s done it. And I would just hope that a bit of what she’s done and a bit of what she’s achieved, and a bit of how she’s conducted herself, we all take away in our own lives and try and do it ourselves,” William says. “I would like to take all of her experiences, all of her knowledge and put it in a small box and to be able to constantly refer to it.” [From Us Weekly ] My mother is royalist and an Anglophile, except she absolutely loathes Prince Charles and Camilla. I only recently got her to admit that, yes, Prince William is growing more and more like his father. Can’t you see it? We want to think that William is like his mother, with her warmth and emotional intelligence, but… there’s something cold about William. To me – maybe that’s just how I’m interpreting it. He still seems so “Woe is me” about becoming King one day – and what does this mean? “There’s not much wriggle room left for me to try and find my own path, but I will do.” Meaning what, exactly? Everything about his reign has already been set in stone because poor William doesn’t get to make his own choices? That if he’d had his way, he would have lived his life very differently? How differently? He’s almost 30 years old and he’s managed to never work as a full-time royal. I’m not denigrating his military career – but even William’s father managed to have a (similar) military career while still being a full-time royal/public servant. Out promoting his new film “Men in Black III,” Will Smith arrived at the “Late Show with David Letterman” this afternoon (May 22). The 43-year-old actor sported a yellow sweater underneath a grey suit as he made his way into the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City flashing a smile to the awaiting photographers. On the show, Smith discusses his recent encounter with the Ukrainian reporter who tried to kiss him on the lips, which made big headlines. Smith told the television host, “It’s just awkward, Dave,” adding, “They said, ‘we’re sorry. Gathering together to help raise funds for the former U.S. President’s charitable efforts, a handful of famous faces were on hand at the Old Vic Tunnels in London, England on Tuesday night (May 22). Joining Bill Clinton and his daughter Chelsea at ‘A Night Out With The Millennium Network’ were fellow co-hosts Gwyneth Paltrow and will.i.am of The Black Eyed Peas. Other esteemed attendees turning up at the event included English model and actress Lily Cole, Joan Collins, Jeanne Marine and Princess Beatrice of York. Calling on future leaders and philanthropists to get involved in the work of the Clinton Foundation — which aims to improve global health, strengthen economies, promote healthier childhoods, and protect the environment – the UK fundraiser cost $200+ per person with guests being treated to music, speeches, an open bar and a photo with President Clinton.

Gwyneth Paltrow Helps Host ‘A Night Out with The Millennium Network’

She’s no stranger to controversy, and Lady Gaga is experiencing all kinds of push-back from folks in Indonesia who don’t want her to perform in Jakarta on June 3. It was previously announced that the gig was cancelled due to a lack of permits, but now “Born This Way” tour promoters are trying to negotiate with city officials to make it happen. Gaga tweeted, “The Jakarta situation is 2-fold: Indonesian authorities demand I censor the show & religious extremist separately, are threatening violence. If the show does go on as scheduled, I will perform the BTWBall alone.” Asrorun Niam from the National Ulema Council announced, “Lady Gaga is considered an icon for liberal culture and Indonesia’s freedom is not without limits. There are restrictions related to norms, morals and religion.” Meanwhile, the Islamic Defenders Front has threatened to ‘create havoc’ at the show, calling Gaga the ‘devil’s messenger.’ “We have gotten Lady Gaga tickets, not to watch but for us to enter. Whatever will be will be, we’re ready for the risk.”

Nicole traveled to the Big Apple after a stint in Australia with her family. The 2012 Billboard Music Awards brought plenty of famous faces to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas tonight. LMFAO, who won six awards, opened the show before hosts Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell took the stage. A variety of artists including The Wanted and Kelly Clarkson , introduced by Robin Thicke, had their turn in the spotlight. Carrie Underwood , who brought husband Mike Fisher, performed “Blown Away” in a glamorous red dress while Natasha Bedingfield sang a tribute to the late Donna Summer. Katy Perry rocked the crowd with the debut of her new single “Wide Awake” and Usher brought “Scream” to the stage. Justin Bieber took the microphone as well with “Boyfriend.” Jordin Sparks shared a moving rendition of “I Will Always Love You” honoring Whitney Houston after John Legend kicked it off with “The Greatest Love of All.” Bobbi Kristina then accepted the Millennium Award for her mom, saying “I’m just blessed to have been in such an incredible woman’s life.” There were many more statues given out this evening with Julianne Hough presenting Justin with top social artist.
