After previously giving up too much information, John Mayer is now saying he regrets the details he shared about his intimate life with Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson . On Saturday (May 19), the “Shadow Days” singer admitted to NPR’s “All Things Considered” that he didn’t necessarily mean to be that open adding, “I had nothing to say,” adding, “I was going through a time in my life where I didn’t really want to share what was going on, but I didn’t want to be boring.” As many recall, the Grammy award-winning artist first told Rolling Stone magazine he had “never really gotten over” the breakup with his “Horrible Bosses” lady and described the difficult ending as “one of the worst times” in his life. After dishing about Aniston, Mayer then went on to reveal further details about Miss Simpson in an interview with Playboy describing their relationship by saying, it “was like crack cocaine to me. Sexually, it was crazy… It was like napalm, sexual napalm.” Now that the 34-year-old has had about two years to think about his comments he says he ‘understands’ where the backlash came from and probably won’t be as open the next time saying, “When you’re just open, but not honest, then you start free-associating garbage,” also adding, “It doesn’t mean I can go back and scrub it out, but I understand it now.” On a career note, John has been hard at work on his new album “Born and Raised” and you can check it out when it hits stores this Tuesday (May 22).

Swarmed by photographers, the “Resident Evil” actress wore a white, blue and yellow striped top with black leggins and dark sunglasses while clinging to her precious girl, Ever, who seemed a little frightened by the camera flashes. In a revealing interview with Ellen DeGeneres on her Tuesday afternoon (May 15) show, John Mayer opened up about his much-too revealing past and how he’s moving on. The 34-year-old singer is preparing for the release of his newest album Born and Raised on May 22 after a long hiatus, which he said was to write and produce the project. He became widely known for his candid interviews about his sex life and past relationships with Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston and told the talk show host, “I lost my head for a little while. I lost touch and I didn’t want to ask for directions. I did a couple really dumb interviews and it woke me up.” He added, “I’m glad I actually stayed out of the spotlight. Back then I would’ve said, ‘Let me get out and do Ellen and explain myself.’ It was like, ‘No, idiot. Go away – be 33 and 34 instead of 28 for the fourth year.’ ” Getting his personal life under control was just one of the battles, as the “Daughters” singer revealed that a granuloma returned in his throat after surgery last October, which makes him unable to sing resulting in the cancellation of his fall tour. “It’s not a health concern whatsoever but it has taken me out of singing,” he explains. “Tried to beat it the first time and couldn’t. They cut this thing out, then they inject your vocal cords with Botox which freezes [them] so [they] can heal without smacking up against the other side. The tabloids, as always, are full of Jennifer Aniston gossip this week. It’s always interesting to see whether or not the tabloid editors have the “hive mind” thing going on – meaning, it’s more interesting when Star and In Touch and Us Weekly are all talking about Aniston’s broken heart at the same time. It makes it more believable. This week’s Aniston stories don’t all follow the same theme, but two of them – OK! Magazine and Star Magazine – are claiming that Jennifer and Justin Theroux are having problems. For what it’s worth. Star says JustJen are “at the breaking point” because Justin is “starting to realize he made a mistake” by leaving Heidi Bivens. Also, Justin hates LA and he misses being in NYC. OK! Magazine mentions that JustJen are having issues too, but they only say it in the context of “Jennifer Aniston might want to get back John Mayer because he wrote a douchey song about her ” !!! What’s that, Team Aniston? Are you ready for another round of Mayer Douche? As her relationship with Justin Theroux cools – due in large part, sources say, to his continued contact with his ex Heidi Bivens – Jennifer Aniston is back in touch with her former lover John Mayer! And pals are speculating that the two may be close to rekindling their rock ‘n’ roll romance. The pair split three years ago, but John let it be known his new single, “Shadow Days” is about his love for Jen. “He has never really gotten over her,” discloses a friend. “When Jen heard he’d written a song about their breakup, she immediately downloaded it and listened – and the tears were rolling down her face. By far, one of the my favorite versions was the hyper-melodramatic story in The Enquirer . The Enquirer had Jennifer “collapsing” and then Justin Theroux came in as Jen was sobbing, and they had a huge fight and then Jen made it up to Justin by planting a bunch of stories about them together. Well, the Enquirer ups the ante this week with a story that is so funny, you will literally laugh out loud. Jennifer and Justin have called off their engagement, you see. Because Angelina – specifically, ONLY Angelina – managed to announce the engagement in order to destroy Jennifer Aniston. Oh, and Aniston WILL HAVE HER REVENGE. BY GOD! Jennifer Aniston has called off her wedding to Justin Theroux – and it’s all Angelina Jolie’s fault! “This was going to be Jen’s big year for love and happiness,” said an insider. “She and Justin were knee-deep in wedding preparations when Jen got the shattering news that Brad and Angie were announcing their engagement and making plans to wed this year.” After Aniston’s “collapse” after she heard the news, she and Justin Theroux got into a huge fight. “At that point, Justin said it would be best if they indefinitely postponed their wedding plans,” continued the insider. “He doesn’t want to be drawn any deeper into the twisted soap opera of Jen, Brad and Angie.” Meanwhile, Jen feels that Angelina intentionally blind-sided her, said the insider. “She wholeheartedly believes that Angie engineered the timing of the engagement announcement to Brad to get in another dig. Since Gerard Butler got out of rehab just a few days before the Oscars (and the all-important cocaine-soaked post-Oscar parties), we’ve been detailing his increasingly sloppy exploits . He’s probably hooked up with Lindsay Lohan at the Chateau Marmont, he’s been clubbing and party-hopping all over LA, and he was a mess at Coachella , even bangin’ some “mystery brunette” in the Porta-Potty. A source familiar with The Butler’s family in Scotland even told us that his family is seriously worried about him, and they just want Gerry to come home and get clean. I’ve got to wonder – why isn’t someone stepping in? Where are his friends? Or is he just surrounded by Lohan-esque enablers? Well, The Enquirer claims that Jennifer Aniston and Charlize Theron (!) are trying to get Gerry to clean up his act. Gerard Butler has been partying nonstop since leaving rehab, and he’s on the brink of collapse, sources say. Now Butler’s celeb pals, including Jennifer Aniston and Charlize Theron are begging Gerard to ditch the party scene for fear of suffering a relapse. “Gerard hasn’t come up for air since leaving rehab,” an insider told The Enquirer. “he’s out three to five nights a week and partying harder than ever. He’s flirting with disaster.” Since checking out of rehab, he’s reportedly been spotted partying at the Vanity Fair Oscar party, LA’s Troubadour Club, the SXSW music festival in Austin, and the Coachella festival. He’s also been seen with Lindsay Lohan at one of his favorite LA hangouts, the Chateau Marmont. The source says: “Gerard’s friends all think he’s setting himself up for trouble. Speaking of which, a story in this week’s In Touch has a story about how Justin has totally fallen for Vanessa after visiting girlfriend Selena Gomez on the set. It further follows that Justin allegedly now prefers Vanessa to Selena because the latter isn’t a “ goody-two-shoes .” The implication there is that if one hasn’t been the subject of multiple nudie shots that have circulated around the internet, then one is a prude, right? This story is nonsense: Justin Bieber has the hots for Vanessa Hudgens, and it’s left his girlfriend Selena Gomez steaming mad! “High School Musical” cutie Vanessa, 23, co-stars with Selena, 19, in the upcoming movie “Spring Breakers,” and insiders say “Baby” singer Justin, 18, flipped for Vanessa while visiting Selena during filming. “Justin spent a lot of time on the set in Florida during the late winter and early spring,” said a source. “He was there to see Selena, but he wound up falling hard for Vanessa. He couldn’t stop raving about how smart, sexy and talented she is. Plus, he loves the fact that Vanessa is like Selena, but minus the goody-two-shoes personality.” The two struck up a friendship even though Vanessa is dating 20-year-old actor Austin Butler, and they’ve been secretly texting each other since “Spring Breakers” wrapped, said the source. “Their banter tends to get very suggestive,” the source revealed. “A mutual friend told Selena about it, and she freaked. I agree — especially since the story takes such great pains to describe Vanessa as “ smart, sexy and talented .” I’ll buy sexy (and maybe smart too) but talented? No comment. Also, the story conveniently makes a huge deal about how Vanessa is so devoted to Austin Butler and wouldn’t dream of betraying poor, innocent Selena. Those details sound like they’re straight from a publicist’s mouthpiece. Here are Selena and Justin on 4/21 together on the set of his new music video.
