Last night’s season finale was nothing short of spectacular, and the finalists from “Dancing with the Stars” were in the house at “Good Morning America” today (May 23). Season champion Donald Driver and his partner Peta Murgatroyd were riding high on their victory as they chatted about their big win, joined by Katherine Jenkins, Mark Ballas , William Levy, and Cheryl Burke . When asked about his ‘end zone’ style dance upon being crowned the champ, Donald shared, “I was on fire, so I had to roll around to get the fire out. That’s what it was.” And as for what turned the tides for their favor with the judges, Peta noted, “I think it could have been [the freestyle]. I think we made a really good choice in what we wanted to portray with the freestyle. And we went all out with the country and did something different. Celebrities and good causes always seem to go together, and last night (May 17) some of Hollywood’s finest converged at the Heal the Bays Bring Back the Beach Fundraiser. “Pretty Woman” actress Julia Roberts showed up at the Santa Monica shindig with her hunky husband Danny Moder. Additionally, “Butterfly Effect” star Amy Smart was in the house, posing for the paparazzi in a gorgeous spring yellow dress. Meanwhile, Ali Larter , Rachelle Lefevre, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus were busy hobnobbing with guests and raising money for the environmental effort.

Kicking off his day with a media appearance, Taylor Kitsch was spotted at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City this morning (May 16). The “John Carter” stud was in the house to do an interview on the “Today” show with Al Roker and Matt Lauer. During the conversation, Taylor noted that he’s still in a bit of disbelief that his career has taken off so quickly over the past few years. “It’s definitely a full-circle moment. Pete Berg cast me in ‘Friday Night Lights,’ and it’s a full-circle moment with him, too, because he case me in ‘Battleship.’ And I think we’re going to go do another movie in September together, so we’re basically dating now.” As for cutting his hair for the “Battleship” gig, Taylor noted, “I think anytime you step on one of these destroyers (naval ship), I had it up when I was prepping, and you’re not going to get away with long hair in the Navy.”

According to a report put out by Deadline on Monday (May 14), the “Dear John” actor is in talks to star in the new Roland Emmerich directed flick “White House Down.” The James Vanderbilt written script was picked up by Sony earlier this year for a reported $3 million and has been said to feature a para-military type takeover of the White House. Aside from “White House Down,” which is said to hit theaters in November, the sexy 32-year-old actor can also be seen on the big screen twice this summer in “Magic Mike” and “G.I. Joe: Retaliation.”

Preparing for a rocking performance, Adam Lambert was spotted performing a sound check for the MLB Fan Cave Concert Series on Broadway in New York City, New York on Monday (May 14). In bleached out pants and a black blazer, the former “American Idol” contestant danced around on the stage in lower Manhattan in front of a massive crowd of fans who crowed around a window to catch a glimpse of the singer. After his rocking performance, Adam gave his fans a shout out tweeting, “Thank u all for coming tonight! Sorry had to jet— I need some serious sleep. Long, wonderful day.

They’re always up for publicity opportunities, and last night (May 14) the Kardashian sisters were in the house at “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno .” Kim , Kourtney and Khloe were all gussied up to chat with Jay about the hot topics du jour, including pregnancy, Kanye West, and the future of their careers. Regarding her show “Khloe & Lamar,” Khloe noted that they were taking a break for the summer. “Lamar and I have fun doing what we’re doing. I don’t know how somthing spun so far out of control by the media.” Khloe also declared that Kanye West’s new song is “pretty self-explanatory” and obviously about Kim, who added, “I didn’t think it was for me.”
Looking gorgeous in black, Jennifer Connelly made an appearance at the screening of her newest film “Virginia” at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York City (May 14). The 41-year-old actress rocked a long-sleeved black dress paired with strappy black heels as she posed with the film’s director Dustin Lance Black the Cinema Society and Shideido with Grey Goose sponsored event. In other news, the brunette beauty recently spoke to Anderson Cooper about the possibility of having more children saying, “I think we should call it quits. It’s like trying to move an army getting out of the house and we go everywhere together, so it’s a lot of bodies to move.” Miss Connelly currently has three children with her actor husband Paul Bettany. The “Baby One More Time” songstress and the “Skyscraper” starlet showd up at the Beacon Theatre to be announced as the two new judges on the forthcoming season of “The X Factor.” Britney and Demi will fill the vacancies left by Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul’s departures, and will likely bring a youthful vibe to the already successful talent show. “I couldn’t be more excited to join The X Factor judging panel. I’m a huge fan of the show and now I get to be a part of the action. Simon and L.A. better watch out!” the 30-year-old pop star recently released in a statement. Wow this married man this morning!
