She’s quickly closing in on her due date and, in celebration of her impending motherhood, Kristin Cavallari was treated to a festive baby shower on Saturday afternoon (May 19). Held at a private Hollywood residence, the 25-year-old reality star was joined by around thirty guests including former “The Hills” co-stars Heidi Montag and Stephanie Pratt . The momma-to-be covered up her burgeoning bump in a cute black maxi dress while she and her fellow partygoers noshed on Pink Salt Event Cuisine catered sweets including green and blue frosted cupcakes and a starry themed three-tier sponge cake. Of the scene, a source told People magazine, “It was the perfect weather for a fun celebration. Kristin arrived with her mom. She looked stunning in a black dress with her hair in a ponytail. She was smiling and seemed very excited about celebrating her baby. Guests seemed to enjoy the shower as well and there was a lot of laughter.” With Kristin and her baby daddy, NFL QB Jay Cutler, being gifted with items ranging from strollers and high chairs to blankets and bath toys, another insider dished to Us magazine, “Kristin was glowing and gorgeous. Making an out-of-character appearance, Sacha Baron Cohen was a guest on Friday’s (May 18) episode of the “Late Show with David Letterman ” to discuss the release of his newest film “The Dictator.” A clean-shaven and witty Cohen spoke with the talk show host about Hollywood parties, jokingly saying, “Generally, it’s best if I stay home,” adding, “I generally make faux pas, I don’t watch a lot of television or film so I don’t recognize a lot of the faces,” which he explained has landed him into some awkward situations. In other news, the “Borat” actor’s newest film released in theaters this weekend and funny, offensive film follows the story of “General Admiral Aladeen,” a North African despot who resembles Libya’s Colonel Moammar Gadhafi, but with an Osama bin Laden beard, and something of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s knack for international diplomacy. Closing out the work week with an afternoon workout, Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler were spotted leaving Crunch Gym in West Hollywood, CA on Friday (May 18). Laughing and holding hands as they made their way past the shutterbugs, the young lovebirds both rocked athletic ensembles as Vanessa was seen sporting layered black and purple tank tops, grey shorts and purple and white sneakers while Butler wore black pants, sneakers and a grey zip up. Switching to career news, along with starring in the new film “Spring Breakers,” Miss Hudgens also is featured in another upcoming picture titled “Frozen Ground.” The Scott Walker directed thriller is based on actual events which follows an Alaska State Trooper (Nicholas Cage) who is trying to bring an unnoticed serial killer to rest. When he partners with a young woman (Hudgens), who has recently escaped the clutches of murderer, Robert Hansen, he begins piecing together vital information that will help bring Hansen to justice. The film, which also stars John Cusack and 50 Cent, is set to hit theaters on December 1, 2012.

Stepping out to promote his latest film, Javier Bardem attended the photo call for his new documentary film “Hilos De Las Nubes, La Ultima Colonia” in Madrid, Spain on Wednesday (May 16). The Spanish actor kept his outfit business casual in sneakers and jeans while dressing it up with a black blazer and white button up as he posed for awaiting photographers. The film, which can be translated to be titled “Sons of the Clouds,” takes a look at how colonization of the Western Sahara has left nearly 200,000 people living in refugee camps. In an earlier interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 43-year-old actor explained that this film was very personal to him and it is a way to help the Sarhawis adding, “we want to help and we made the documentary because that’s the way we can. You cannot change the world. But we can bring that story to some other people who may not be aware of it. In the end, those stories that are not told are stories that don’t exist in people’s minds.”
