The mother-daughter outing followed a family-filled weekend that included a stop by the farmers market and a school play. Dad Ben Affleck was on hand for the performance, as was big sister Violet. The newest Garner-Affleck addition, baby Samuel, didn’t join the foursome but he was out with Jennifer earlier this week. Jennifer recently switched out of mom mode for a sexy new role in a short film titled Serena . She’ll be back on the big screen soon, too, when The Odd Life of Timothy Green hits theaters in August. Kristen Stewart and her On the Road castmates gathered this morning for a photo call at the Cannes Film Festival. Kristen paired a white tee and black blazer with a pair of wild printed pants for the press session. She threw an arm around a Dolce & Gabbana-clad Kirsten Dunst for a series of girls-only pictures, then linked up with costars Sam Riley, Viggo Mortensen , Tom Sturridge, Garrett Hedlund, and Danny Morgan. Director Walter Salles was also on hand.Their movie just screened at the Grand Palais - make sure to check out our On the Road review . Kristen’s in France with the picture and her costars just ahead of her boyfriend Robert Pattinson ‘s Cannes debut. American Idol finalists Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips went out on a high note last night, with each hopeful singing their heart out for the judges, studio audience, and fans watching at home. Each contestant performed three songs, one chosen by the show’s producer, Simon Fuller; one of their choice; and an original single they’ll release should they win. Jessica kicked things off by belting out Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing” followed by Celine Dion’s “The Prayer,” and she took her final turn on Idol singing her potential single, “Change Nothing.” Phillip, who won the coin toss and chose to perform last, began his night with Ben E. King’s “Stand by Me,” followed it up with Billy Joel’s “Movin’ Out,” and closed the show with his coronation song, “Home .” All eyes were on the finalists. However, Jennifer Lopez stole a moment of the spotlight in a sexy, asymmetrical see-through bodysuit. Jen will be back on the stage again tonight to perform her latest track, “Follow the Leader.” It could be J Lo’s final curtain call, as her future on the show is still undecided. Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery briefly spoke about J Lo’s rumored departure from Idol , saying, “I’d hate to see her go. Whatever happens happens. Nicole Richie dressed up for last night’s Fifi Awards in NYC. The annual event, which awards prizes to top sellers in the perfume industry, is usually a big celebrity draw. In addition to Nicole, yesterday’s soiree brought out Michelle Monaghan, Josh Groban, Martha Stewart , and more. Nicole wore an Emilio Pucci dress to hit the red carpet and take the stage. Nicole traveled to the Big Apple after a stint in Australia with her family. Little ones Sparrow and Harlow Madden went to the zoo with Nicole in Sydney , one of the main adventures the family enjoyed Down Under. Dad Joel Madden has had to work a bit, though, as he’s a mentor on the Oz version of The Voice .
