The ceremony is Germany’s equivalent of the Oscars, and it comes about three weeks before France’s prestigious Césars occur on Feb. 24. During the cermony, The Avengers star Scarlett accepted the Best International Actress honor from German star Til Schweiger. The corresponding male honor went to Denzel Washington , who’s been in Europe promoting his upcoming thriller Safe House . Scarlett posed on the red carpet solo, though back home in NYC, she’s been all about spending time with her new boyfriend. David Beckham and his best friend Dave Gardner spent last night at what seems to be London’s hottest spot, the Arts Club. Prince Harry was out as well to say hi to David, along with Princess Eugenie and the singer Katherine Jenkins. It was Harry and David’s latest get-together. David visited with Harry when the latter went to LA for a weekend during his time in the US doing an Apache helicopter training course. Both good-looking British guys are looking forward to the Olympics, with David’s hoping to play for Great Britain’s soccer team. Harry recently expressed an interest in doing a PR-friendly race against champion runner Usain Bolt while touring Latin and South America to promote his grandmother Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee. The evening of fun came as a break from work for David. He traveled to London earlier this week to launch David Beckham Bodywear for H&M , later celebrating the launch with his parents and his wife Victoria’s mom and dad. David also spent an afternoon filming an ad for Adidas . Victoria, meanwhile, has her own new collections on the brain. Prince William and his wife Kate spent the last week together on vacation with her family in Mustique . The couple spent a few days on the West Indies island with her sister Pippa, brother James, and parents Michael and Carole. William apparently met up with the group after the Middletons started their fun. He arrived, however, ahead of the celebrations for Carole Middleton’s 57th birthday . The Middletons’ getaway included plenty of beach time and group lunches by the water. The girls were able to wear bikinis and sit in the sun, while James snapped photos from his deck chair. William and Kate stayed at Aurora House , a retreat owned by their friend Mark Cecil, according to reports. William, Kate, and Pippa wrapped things up and left Mustique for the Hewanorra airport in nearby St. Lucia, where they caught a British Airways flight. They headed back to London so William could prepare for his deployment to the Falkland Islands. He’s scheduled to begin a six-week tour of duty this evening. It’s rumored that the next 15-episode run of the show will begin with an engagement and end with a wedding and Busy Philipps, Courteney Cox , and Christa Miller were all in gowns for the afternoon. Courteney’s white dress in particular may imply she’ll be walking down the aisle with her onscreen love Josh Hopkins. Both Josh and Busy had an exciting weekend escorting good friends - winner Octavia Spencer for him and Michelle Williams for her – to Sunday’s SAG Awards, but yesterday they were back to work on Cougar Town . The third season kicks off on Valentine’s Day; get a sneak peek at the Cougar Town premiere before it airs! In addition, David Arquette is scheduled to make a cameo on at least one episode and Couteney stepped behind the camera to direct .
