As you probably know, Men in Black III is coming. It’s out tomorrow actually. I still remember seeing the first movie like 20 years ago. It seems like forever, but I just checked and it was 1997 , still ages ago. Men in Black II was out in 2002, a full ten years ago. So they’re releasing the third one a decade later since no one puts movie money into original ideas anymore.(Sometimes for good reason .) Kaiser, Bedhead and I were wondering if this will make back its production budget, a very steep $375 million(!) according to Wikipedia . It’s a huge gamble, but it could pay off. Bedhead wrote that “ it might squeak by if you add in international ticket sales and merchandising .” Plus, you know, it’s got Will Smith in it and he’s a big draw. Speaking of Will, his youngest two children, Willow and Jaden came out to the premiere in New York last night, as did his wife, Jada. Jada was just in Canne s looking like a million bucks at Sean Penn’s Haiti benefit, so it’s nice to see her fly back to support her husband. We’ve heard split rumors about these two for a long time, but they were spotted out together during the European promotion for the film earlier this month. I tend to think they went through a rough patch and worked it out, like a lot of other couples. Is it goofy to say that I’m rooting for them? I really like them together. Willow wore this ridiculous long shirt featuring Freddie Kruger at the hemline, like he’s jumping out from her lap. I would conveniently “lose” that thing if my daughter owned it. Willow is 11! She’s just a tween, but her parents are treating her like a little adult . They’ve made a lot of parenting decisions I disagree with, particularly putting their kids in the business so young. I guess they’re letting her express herself through her fashion and hairstyles, which I can’t argue with too much if she’s covered up. Kids know what they like to wear, and there’s no use forcing them to dress a certain way. (Although I would draw the line at Freddie Kruger dresses.) I just looked up some quotes from Will Smith to add to this story, and I found this really awesome one about how Jaden, 13, asked President Obama if aliens were real. Will, of course, has been gunning to play Obama for a while , saying that he’s the “natural choice.” This story about Jaden asking Obama about aliens is a much better one, and I know my kid would bug me to let him ask the President something like this. Here it is: Will Smith was left red-faced after his son asked U.S president Barack Obama if aliens are real during a visit to the White House. The Men in Black star banned his son Jaden from asking the extra-terrestrial question ahead of a guided tour of the President’s home with his family, but the cheeky 13-year-old actor couldn’t resist defying his dad. The youngster popped the question as Obama showed the family around the “situation room” – where the president holds meetings during a crisis – and the U.S. leader was happy to answer him. Smith tells BBC Radio 1 host Chris Moyles, “The night before Jaden had said to me, ‘Dad, I gotta ask the president about the aliens,’ and I’m like, ‘Dude, no, it’s not cool. It’s embarrassing. Do not ask the president!’ So we get into the situation room and Jaden gets the look in his eyes and he leans over to me and asks, ‘Dad, What’s my punishment?’ “And Barack is starting to talk about this situation room and Jaden says, ‘Excuse me Mr. President?’ and I’m like, ‘Hey, Barack man, listen?’ and Barack said, ‘Don’t tell me.’ And in perfect form – and this is why he is the president – he stopped and looked at Jaden and said, ‘The aliens, right? OK, I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of extra-terrestrials but I can tell you if there had been a top secret meeting and if there would have been a discussion about it, it would have taken place in this room.’” [From The Huffington Post ] That’s hilarious and I love Obama’s answer! Have you seen this game Obama Alien Defense ? I would say that must be where Jaden got the idea, but his dad has been kicking alien ass at the movies forever. I think they should do a film where Will Smith as Obama fights aliens, like Independence Day except with the Commander in Chief. You don’t need to vary a good formula much, at least that’s the premise the movie industry operates under. As for Jada’s black deep v-neck dress I kind of love it for some other event, and wonder if it’s from her Cannes luggage. The skirt is so sheer it looks like she’s wearing granny panties underneath. It’s too dressy and sexy for her husband’s premiere is what I’m saying, but he probably loves it. So maybe it’s just the right outfit. Josh Brolin looking like a handsome rogue. Jada Pinkett Smith supports Will at the MIB III premiere: too sexy or gorgeous?

Nicole Kidman arrived in Cannes a few days ago , even though her promotional work for The Paperboy didn’t start until today. I guess Nicole just wanted to party and schmooze in the South of France. Maybe she’s hoping to soak up the vibe considering she’s going to be playing Princess Grace of Monaco . The photos of Nicole in the orange-red Antonio Berardi Fall 2012 are from today’s photo call for The Paperboy. Thoughts on Nicole’s dress? I like that she went with a bold color, although I’m not crazy about this particular bold color. The cut and design of the dress is solid, and the tailoring is lovely. My only real complaint is the color, actually. Also in attendance at the photo call: Lee Daniels (the director), Zac Efron, John Cusack, Matthew McConaughey and Macy Gray. A few more things about Nicole. One, her Botox-face is still, as ever, ridiculous. I don’t think her forehead or eyebrows moved a centimeter once during the photo call. And her lips- still ridiculous. But really, let’s talk about Nicole’s boobs. I’ve long claimed that shortly after Nicole gave birth to Sunday Rose, she got some implants . I actually have an eloborate conspiracy theory involving Nicole’s bolt-ons, but we don’t need to get into that right now. Let’s just say that there has been photo evidence in the past that indicates to me that Nicole’s tatas are not all real. I believe she got something done, and while I appreciated that she kept them smaller (they look fine on her frame), I’m now wondering if she went back to the surgeon’s office and got some even bigger implants. We’ve gotten emails about this too, and CB and I spent way too much time last night inspecting Nicole’s rack like boob scientists. To the boob laboratory!!! Even though I think Howard Stern was rude for saying it publicly, I think he was right: Britney Spears is going to be a “train wreck” and a hot mess as a judge on The X-Factor . There were rumors about the gig for what felt like MONTHS, and then finally Simon Cowell announced it – Britney and Demi Lovato are the new judges for the new season . Considering Britney is still very much under a conservatorship that her father and her fiancé control , there are some concerns as to whether Britney will even be able to do her job on the show, LIVE on air. Us Weekly has a lengthy and heartbreaking story about it in this week’s issue. The basic gist? People close to Britney worry that the stress of The X Factor gig is already sending Britney into breakdown territory. Those closest to Britney worry The X-Factor opportunity will be just another rise before a fall – live, in front of millions of viewers. “Doing X Factor may lead her back into meltdown territory,” says a source. “She gets extremely nervous and anxious. She’s hard on herself and not very confident.” Anything new, even positive developments like her engagement to Jason Trawick can rock the boat. “For her, it’s all input as stress,” explains the source. “This is a lot of change at once for Britney. She’s coming undone.” Sources warn that Britney hasn’t healed 100 percent since her 2007/2008 breakdown. “She really is starting to seem loopy and not right,” admits a source close to Spears. “She is so happy one minute and sad and crying the next.” Adds a second source, “Her emotions are fragile.” “She is very scared and overwhelmed by the thought of it,” a source says about the idea of participation in The X Factor. And her reported $15 million payday seems to be a hindrance, not a help. “Now that she’s gotten financially stable again, she is starting to let loose and let old demons come out,” says a source. At a friend’s crawfish-boil party in LA’s Brentwood neighborhood May 5, Spears showed up sporting cutoffs, a cropped top and no shoes – and proceeded to ignore the other guests while muttering obscenities to herself! Then the article goes on to detail how The X-Factor will work if Britney has some kind of issue live on air – the details include versions of “well, maybe one of the other judges will just talk over her” and “well, boozehound Christina Aguilera can somehow function on live television, how hard could it be for Britney?” I just get the feeling once again that everybody is using this poor woman. Trying to shield her little one from the always present shutterbugs, Katherine Heigl was spotted carrying in her new daughter Adalaide to the Beverly Hills Montage for lunch on Wednesday (May 23). The “27 Dresses” beauty looked sexy on her afternoon out wearing skinny cobalt blue jeans, a button up white blouse and strappy black heels as she toted made her way in to grab a bite to eat with her mom. In career news, the 33-year-old will be starring in a new comedy this fall titled “The Wedding.” The Justin Zackham directed flick focuses on a long-divorced couple who fakes being married as their family unites for a wedding. Also starring Amanda Seyfried , Robert De Niro , and Robin Williams the film is set to his theaters October 19.

Spending some quality family bonding time together, Kourtney Kardashian , Scott Disick and Mason were spotted out at the Calabasas Commons grabbing lunch on Wednesday afternoon (May 23). The fashion-forward family looked chic as always as the 32-year-old starlet rocked a seafoam green romper and white blazer while her son looked adorable in a daddy-inspired outfit with cut off denim shorts, a button up dress shirt and cream loafers. After spending some much deserved relaxing time out, the trio headed over to grandma Kris Jenner and grandpa Bruce Jenner’s house to finish off their family afternoon. As previously reported by GossipCenter, the gorgeous reality starlet just celebrated her baby shower, which featured a pink and white theme in honor of her first daughter-to-be, whom they will be expecting this summer.

Kourtney Kardashian Spends a Day with Her Men: Scott & Mason

A little seven year-old from Philadelphia, who goes by “Mir Money,” performed a rap song on America’s Got Talent last night. Judges Howard Stern and Sharon Osbourne both buzzed little Mir when he was performing, which is what they’re supposed to do when performances aren’t up to par. When it came time for Stern to explain why he buzzed Mir he was very kind and nice about it, but Mir broke down and started crying anyway. Again, the kid is seven. Stern then went up on stage to comfort Mir, explaining that he wasn’t cut out for the job. Outlets are running this story like Stern made the kid cry, and he sort-of did but it wasn’t his fault. Here’s more, thanks to The La Times: There were the memorable acts. Those included … Mir Money, a 7-year-old rapper from Philadelphia who charmed everyone by admitting he was his favorite rapper and that, were he to win $1 million, he’d use it to take care of his family. So when Stern and fellow judge Sharon Osbourne buzzed the adorable tyke and he dissolved into tears, well, we might all have been a bit shaken up. (“He’s only 7!” my outraged 6-year-old daughter exclaimed.) Stern hightailed it onto the stage to offer comforting words and a hug. “I’ll fix everything. Let me fix everything,” he told us. “I’m so sorry,” he told the kid. “I don’t want to make you cry.” “This job is too rough for me,” the shock jock said. “I don’t want to do it anymore … I’m not cut out for this.” Stern, that softie, then voted to send the kid to Vegas, but Osbourne and third judge Howie Mandel proved to have thicker skin and a better grasp of the long-term effects. No, they said, explaining that they had no wish to prolong the wee rapper’s pain. [From The LA Times ] I have a seven year-old son, and to me this is kind-of like sending your kids to do pageants. It’s not Howard Stern’s fault that this poor little boy was crying, it’s his parents. They’re thrusting their little kid in front of the world in a way that’s potentially devastating for them. I also blame the producers of America’s Got Talent. They shouldn’t be letting kids on this show, unless they’re a part of a troupe and are not singled out. There should be a cut off age in which kids can compete alone, say 15 or so. (But that number is kind of arbitrary, I understand.) Either way, a kid of seven is not emotionally equipped to perform on a national talent show.

Nicole Richie dressed up for last night’s Fifi Awards in NYC. The annual event, which awards prizes to top sellers in the perfume industry, is usually a big celebrity draw. In addition to Nicole, yesterday’s soiree brought out Michelle Monaghan, Josh Groban, Martha Stewart , and more. Nicole wore an Emilio Pucci dress to hit the red carpet and take the stage. Nicole traveled to the Big Apple after a stint in Australia with her family. Little ones Sparrow and Harlow Madden went to the zoo with Nicole in Sydney , one of the main adventures the family enjoyed Down Under. Dad Joel Madden has had to work a bit, though, as he’s a mentor on the Oz version of The Voice . After coming across a touching YouTube video, Taylor Swift reached out to the family of a U.S. Marine who died in Afghanistan during combat on Friday (May 11). The “Safe & Sound” singer sent flowers and a note to Sergeant Wade Wilson’s family after watching the video posted by the Sergent’s best friend, Corporal Josh Marreel, who starts the video by saying, “Alright, so this is a shout out to the one and only Taylor Swift.” The soldier continues, “I know you have no idea who I am but this video isn’t about me. This is about a good buddy, Sgt. Wade D. Wilson, who was killed in action Friday, May 11, 2012 in Afghanistan.” Mr. Marreel adds, “Anybody that knew Willy personally knew that he worshiped you. He even slept with a poster of you in between our beds in Afghanistan.” Josh Marreel then asks Taylor to “think about him,” and personally invites her to Wilson’s funeral services in Texas. After seeing the video, Ms. Swift responded with flowers and a note that reads, “Wade, thank you for loving my music. I won’t forget it and I will never forget you. All my love, Taylor Swift.” The 22-year-old also asked the Wilson family is she could use his army dog tags to pay tribute to him by wearing them in an upcoming music video, according to Gossip Cop. They’ve got quite the big night ahead, and Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell were spotted arriving to the 2012 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday evening (May 20). The “Modern Family” co-stars posed alongside one another at the MGM Grand Arena venue before disappearing backstage to make final preparations for their ceremony co-hosting duties. As for what’s in store, the sure-to-be entertaining affair features performances by big names including Justin Bieber , Carrie Underwood, LMFAO, CeeLo Green, Kelly Clarkson, Usher, The Wanted, Linkin Park, Nelly Furtado and Chris Brown .
