She’s always done her best to use her celebrity to help those in need, and Gisele Bundchen recently paid a visit to Kenya as part of her role as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador. According to the agency, the Brazilian supermodel went to the East African country to experience firsthand the reality of energy poverty and to see how lives are being transformed by making sustainable energy accessible to those not connected to the national grid. As part of the visit, Miss Bundchen spent a day with a family in the village of Kisumu and helped them tend to tasks such as carrying firewood to their hut – while also making sure to highlight the dangers of using firewood inside homes that do not have energy. The 31-year-old was also seen dancing with the locals and visiting various homes, as well as teaming up with UK NGO Practical Action during the course of her stay.
