Jennifer Lopez Tops Another List
Last week, we brought you W magazine’s disturbing June cover that featured a tatted, shirtless Tom Cruise (as Stacee Jaxx in Rock of Ages ) flanked by a couple of blonde groupies. Some of you thought that Tom looked hot, but most of you agreed that he just looked gross. Now the rest of the ill-advised photoshoot has been released by W mag , and it is almost sadly hilarious to witness. Because Toms’s a cowboy. On a steel horse he rides. Check out these abdominal muscles, and we’ll discuss. Kaiser, CB, and I were discussing this shoot, and we were primarily trying to figure out what’s going on with Tom’s abs. CB wondered if he got some of those implanted fake washboard abs similar to (but more subtle than) those of a recent Celebrity Big Brother contestant or if Tom’s just been heavily photoshopped because he doesn’t look real. Kaiser brought up Tom’s late 2010 shirtless candid photos on the set of MI4 where his stomach was all lumpy like he had some bad lipo. Personally, I think it’s a combo of some funky lipo coupled with a spray-tanned six pack and a hefty dose of Photoshop as well. Sort of how Robert Pattinson had to have his six-pack painted on for his shirtless scenes in New Moon . Only Tom has to take everything to extremes, so he has to have the best little spray-tanned abs available. As a result, he looks like a freak. Oh and the cover shot groupies are also present in the photo spread as well. Their shots are mostly NSFW because one of the models whipped out a boob for both of her shots, including this one, which I cropped so that all you can see is the implied beej being offered to a very uninterested Tom. Now let’s get onto the interview , which explains a lot about why Tom’s version of Stacee Jaxx seems far too serious in both trailers . It seems that Tom wanted his version of Stacee to be straightforward and different than the character from the Broadway musical. What a disaster in the making, and I can’t believe director Adam Shankman didn’t shut that notion down. Even W points out that Tom’s the only one in the movie that seems to not be playing their role with a few winks to the camera. Here are some excerpts from Tom’s interview: Why Tom’s Stacee Jaxx is so serious “I didn’t want to imitate all these other rock stars. He had to be unique. If the audience doesn’t immediately buy into his absolute greatness, there’s no movie journey. Without that, you have nothing. Kate loves musicals. She sings and dances, and we kind of went through the history of musicals together. And Suri loved Hairspray . I thought Adam Shankman did a great job directing the movie, so I arranged to meet him and said, ‘Where’s our musical?’ He came back and said, ‘ Rock of Ages .’ We went and saw it in L.A., and for me, I didn’t know how to play the character like that. I had to find my own Stacee Jaxx.” Stacee’s monkey was Tom’s idea: “I needed to find out if I could really sing! And then I had to learn how to play guitar. I’m very good at air guitar and air drums, but I had never played an actual guitar. After working for weeks on Stacee’s technical skills, I was thinking about the character, and I said, ‘You know what? I need a monkey.’ Adam said, ‘What the f&#* are you talking about?’ And I said, ‘I’m serious, I need a monkey.’ When Stacee’s not onstage, he’s kind of sad. And I thought, This guy has to have a monkey that’s his best friend. Adam found this baboon. He sent me the baboon’s audition tape, and I said, ‘The baboon’s name has to be Hey Man. Stacee Jaxx doesn’t work without Hey Man.’” Tom loved to dance as a teenager: “You know what? I did the scene from Risky Business around the house. I would sing Bob Seger‚ my mother worked, my sisters were out, and I’d turn the music up. I learned how to dance watching Soul Train. I noticed that if a guy could dance, he’d get a lot of attention and girls would want to dance with him. I worked very hard at imitating those moves.” [From W magazine ] So it was Tom who insisted on a monkey named Hey Man? I don’t even know what to do with that except to add that to the evidence pile. I’ve already stated my belief that Tom is trying far too hard in this role, and he’s taking his portrayal of Stacee far too seriously to match the mood of the movie. Kaiser adds that Tom is playing it far “too earnest” because the character demands some “humor and irony.” Unfortunately, I don’t think that Tom even acknowledges the existence of irony. He insists upon simply playing every character straight, or he doesn’t take the role at all. Perhaps “straight” is a bad way to describe Tom’s acting method, but you catch my drift. These are some new photos of Halle Berry at Revoln’s Run-Walk yesterday in LA. I’m really not crazy about her hair – does anyone think she looks a bit Janet Jackson-ish? And by that I mean tweaked. Anyway, last week, CB discussed an unfortunate incident in which Halle Berry went OFF on some paparazzi who were set up outside of Nahla Aubry’s school. As CB said, while Halle seems like a piece of work, the paparazzi’s actions were ridiculous and likely illegal too. It doesn’t matter if Halle calls the paps to photograph “happy family candid portraits” with Nahla and Olivier Martinez – the paps still shouldn’t be at Nahla’s school. Halle had every right to be angry and to yell about it, and she probably should have pressed charges too. Unfortunately for Nahla’s father, Halle is also going to use the incident to push harder to move to France with Nahla and Olivier. Oh, Halle. Stop. Halle Berry is “more committed than ever” to moving her four-year-old daughter to France, following a nasty altercation with an over zealous and aggressive paparazzo, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting. The pressure that has been building over recent months reached boiling point for the 45-year-old actress this week when she arrived to pick up Nahla from school and ended up in a heated verbal battle with an angry photographer. The Catwoman star was swarmed by photographers and asked them get off the school property or she would call the police, reveals an eyewitness, prompting one snapper to snarl, “f**k off… you make millions and I have a right to make money too.” Halle became inflamed by the confrontation and began arguing with the photographer telling him, “Why don’t you go do an honest job and stop harassing me and my daughter?” A school official and another parent got drawn into the drama, and the police soon arrived to inform all of the paparazzi to leave the grounds and helped the Oscar winner safely escort Nahla to her car. “The school has only ever seen this type of chaos since Halle arrived with Nahla,” revealed a fellow parent, adding that even though there are other celebrity children who attend the school, they’ve only witnessed this type of aggression from the paparazzi towards Halle. One of the mothers revealed that after the photographers were forced to leave by police, Halle broke down in tears and sobbed that this is no way for Nahla to live, saying she does everything in her power to protect the little girl. In the past, friends have stated that Nahla is terrified when she sees the paparazzi anywhere and Halle has asked them to stop taking her picture and leave her alone. “They scream out her name constantly and say awful things about Halle in front of her,” said a pal. Halle is now “more committed than ever” to get Nahla away from Los Angeles the pal says, and as RadarOnline.com previously reported, this is the primary reason Halle has given for wanting to move to France with fiancé Olivier Martinez, because the paparazzi laws there offer more protection. [From Radar ] Regarding the “Nahla is terrified of the paparazzi” issue… am I alone in thinking it’s way more complicated than that? I see paparazzi photos of Nahla with Gabriel and with Halle. Judging solely from those photos, Nahla simply seems more relaxed and less anxious when she’s with her father. When I see Nahla and her dad, it feels like Nahla is feeding off Gabriel’s calm, loving energy, and she seems like a normal kid. But when Nahla is photographed with Halle, there’s a wider variation in moods, and I’m assuming that part of Radar’s sources’ arguments is true – the paparazzi are more aggressive with Halle, they’ll get closer to her, they’ll say things to her, and Nahla reacts to that. I also think Nahla is reacting to her mother’s mood swings too, because kids are smart and if a parent freaks out, the child will freak out too. There are also (mostly telephoto lens) shots where Nahla and Halle and Olivier are all looking happy and everything is beachy-fun-family, and Halle – I believe – sets up some of those photo shoots to “prove” that Nahla has a new daddy – Olivier. So… while I think Halle has a valid argument against the paparazzi, she also feeds the chaos and she feeds Nahla’s bad reactions to the chaos too. Victoria’s Secret Angels Lindsay Ellingson , Doutzen Kroes and Erin Heatherton came together to dish about the sexiest Hollywood celebrities for the lingerie company’s annual “What’s Sexy Now” event in Beverly Hills, California on Thursday (May 10). The gorgeous trio posed with Victoria’s Secret products in front of a pink striped tent while they all offered up their own plethora of sexiness in long, bright summer dresses and high heels. In the minute and a half video the supermodels are recorded rattling off their sexiest picks and then holding up a large portrait of the the celebrity who won the category. Some of the lucky winners included the curvy beauty Beyonce Knowles who was deemed the sexiest mom, while Amanda Seyfried nabbed sexiest lips and Jennifer Lawrence was named the owner of the sexiest eyes. Looking dashing at one of the most coveted events in the celebrity realm, Kanye West made a grand entrance at the 2012 Met Gala “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations” party last night (May 7). The 34 year-old rapper looked clad at the New York City event in a Givenchy tux as he gave his typical stern face to the awaiting photographers. Although the “I’m Good” singer looked handsome at last night’s event and even has his own fashion line, he doesn’t hold back his opinions on the other stars’ choices in apparel. On Saturday, the 34-year-old rapper took to his Twitter page as he was passing through the Big Apple streets writing, “Just driving through the city and I see a few thing I hate…I hate button up shirts with hoodies, hoodies with sport coats, sport coats with button up shirts, jeans and dress shoes, khaki trench coats with jeans and off brand work out sneakers,” and that was just to name a few.

Trying to remain incognito, Kristen Stewart was spotted leaving her New York City hotel this afternoon (May 8). The “Twilight” star looked almost unrecognizable with her hair pulled up into a Baltimore Orioles baseball cap that she paired with a simple sweatshirt and jeans. In other news, the 22-year-old starlet recently dished to Jimmy Kimmel about her rocking night out with friend Katy Perry while the two watched the Tupac hologram at Coachella. “I feel like a weirdo right now [dropping names]. I was with Katy Perry and I walked behind her, and she wanted to sit up front and she was like, ‘Hey, you want to watch Tupac? It’ll be awesome’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah.’” She went on to add, “And then suddenly I realized, what are you doing to me? And then I had to put my hat down because we were literally like Moses parting the waves of Coachella getting to the front. I was like, where am I right now? I was, like, leading her entourage. It was ridiculous.”
