Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried grace the cover of W’s October American-style issue playing the role of a powerful and trendsetting couple. Wearing designs from Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, JT suits up inside the pages while Amanda vacillates between a sexy mistress and doting wife in attire from Carolina Herrera and Calvin Klein. Justin and Amanda carry out an unexpected love affair in their fast-paced thriller In Time , but for their W interview, the onscreen pair slowed things down to chat about sex, getting involved with costars, and more. They said: Timberlake on the audition process : “In films, I didn’t crave the type of attention I had sort of stumbled into in my music career. And I do not audition well. I’m really not good at it. Early on, I did movies like Alpha Dog and Black Snake Moan because the directors didn’t ask me to audition.” Seyfried on acting in sex scenes : “Sex scenes are great. A lot of my costars have been sexy guys my age, and so, why not? I’m not going to pretend it’s not fun. Justin was great – he had come from doing Friends With Benefits , where he basically had sex every day at work – and so it was easy for both of us. We just kind of got it on, and then were like, ‘That was good!’” Amanda on getting involved with costars : “I love acting like I’m in love. It’s a very positive thing. Making a movie is, in general, romantic. It’s very special, very intimate. So you can see why a lot of actors get together. When you’re young, it’s hard not to get together with your costar. But I’ve been doing this long enough to know that it’s usually not the greatest idea.” Justin on his relationship with SNL’s Andy Samberg : “[joking] We have two kids now-two boys. One of them is named Samberg and the other is named Timberlake. So they’re Timberlake Samberg and Samberg Timberlake. She’s making the press rounds to promote her cookbook, My Father’s Daughter , which she launched with a star-studded party earlier this week. She got dressed up again to support pals like Christy Turlington Burns and Meryl Streep at last night’s Good Housekeeping Shine On Awards . Gwyneth’s also gearing up for her second cameo on Glee after debuting her “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” duet with Matthew Morrison on Monday. She’ll reprise her role on the small-screen hit in next week’s new episode, but you don’t have to wait until then to see Gwyneth get back to singing. Nicole Richie spent yesterday afternoon exploring Disneyland with her daughter, Harlow Madden. The girls were joined by Nicole’s best friend, Kelly Sawyer, who tweeted about their “magical” day at the amusement park. Harlow enjoyed a ride on Nicole’s shoulders to get a great view of Mickey, Minnie, and the fairy-tale princesses roaming the grounds before the group took a spin on the tea cups. Joel Madden was sad to miss out on the fun, but he couldn’t be with Nicole and Harlow as he’s off on the Good Charlotte tour. She traveled to the UK from her home base in LA over the weekend to tend to some overseas business with buddy Simon Fuller. Her husband David, meanwhile, is also away from California, but he’s up in Canada with the Galaxy for a series of games against Toronto. He was at a press conference yesterday afternoon to discuss his future with MLS soccer and reveal his ambitions to play for England in the 2012 Olympics. His contract with the LA team expires this year. And despite temporary training sessions with foreign teams like AC Milan and Tottemham Hotspur, he’s considering extending his stay on the West Coast. She was on hand yesterday to congratulate others, but Gwyneth took a minute to discuss the long hours she spends maintaining her awesome figure. Gwyneth said on the red carpet , “The reason that I can be 38 and have two kids and wear a bikini is because I work my [expletive] ass off. It’s not an accident. It’s not luck, it’s not fairy dust, it’s not good genes. It’s killing myself for an hour and a half five days a week, but what I get out of it is relative to what I put into it.
