The “Ocean’s Eleven” stud looked handsome as he made his way around the amusement park with his very own ‘mini-me.’ And it sounds like Mr. Pitt is full-speed-ahead with regard to planning his big wedding with longtime partner Angelina Jolie. An insider told press, “Brad’s been doing extensive renovation and is using a specialist in chateau restoration. He has spent over 10 million pounds already. Now he’s offering hefty bonuses to workers to complete it by summer. He’s even trying to organize an airplane landing site in the grounds for guests to come in by private jet but that’s proving rather tricky, what with permits and no-fly zones.” “Brad’s been tasting and looking up French dishes for weeks. He wants the perfect menu and, of course, the perfect wine to accompany it. That is all going to be locally sourced, too.”

The Kings of Leon bass player popped the question to Martha Patterson with a 4-carat cushion-cut diamond ring and she said yes. A rep for the band told press, “Yes, it’s true! Jared proposed to Martha on April 11 at his home in Nashville and we’re all excited for the newly engaged couple.” Meanwhile a pal of Followill said he was expecting Jared to get engaged to Martha- “He has been wanting to settle down with her. Gwyneth Paltrow picked up her children Moses and Apple Martin yesterday in London. Despite the rain, the trio booked it back home with Apple and Moses riding on scooters. The Paltrow-Martin clan is together in the UK after Gwyneth spent a couple of weeks in the US. She hung out in LA, catching up with some pals at various events, then headed to NYC for a few days. Chris Martin , meanwhile, is on tour with Coldplay, with a string of dates this week in California. Gwyneth was also featured on the debut episode of The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet . She and host Amanda chatted about a range of topics, including sex. When asked about her favorite position, Gwyneth replied, “What? I have children and my mother is going to see this show . . . Gwyneth Paltrow Braves Rainy London With the Help of Apple and Moses
I keep forgetting that Russell Crowe is in that Tom Hooper-directed production of Les Miserables , also starring Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman. Unlike Jackman and Hathaway , we aren’t being overwhelmed by photos of Russell in character as Inspector Jarvert . I’m including some photos of Russell on the set in this post – thankfully, it doesn’t look like Rusty is wearing a dead cat wig (side-eye at Hugh Jackman). Anyway, I bring this up because Les Miserables is filming, for the most part, at the famous Pinewood Studios outside of London. This is the same studio where Angelina Jolie will be filming Maleficent, which should start production any day. So Russell decided to be a nice guy and he invited Angelina and her kids to come by the studio and watch him film some scenes. Isn’t that cute? Who knew Angelina Jolie and Russell Crowe were so close?! In the U.K. to begin work on Disney’s Maleficent, newly-engaged Jolie, 36, spent Monday on a different film set with three of her six children: Maddox, 10, Pax, 8 and Zahara, 7. A source close to the family tells Us Weekly Crowe, 48, personally invited Jolie to check out filming of Les Miserables at Pinewood Studios and the actress decided to bring her kids along for the day. “Russell and Angelina caught up at the F Stage, where Les Mis is being shot,” the insider tells Us, adding that Jolie and her kids watched Crowe act — and sing! — for almost an hour. “The kids were all fitted with [protective] ear defenders because it’s quite a loud sound stage. It was really exciting for the children to see the movie being shot.” Pinewood Studios is soon to become Jolie’s home away from home as she begins work on her latest Disney project. Though she is not yet fully immersed in filming, Jolie is in the area to do “light testing,” according to a source. Brad Pitt’s love — who confirmed her engagement April 13 — is “very excited about the film and in such a great mood,” the insider explains. Equally as excited are the Jolie-Pitt kids, the actress recently told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s a really great script. I’m having a lot of fun. I’ve already got my horns fitted,” the actress, who begins production in June, told EW. “My kids are very happy.” The project is “not anti-princess, but it’s the first time they’re looking at this epic woman [in a different way],” she explains of the new take on the fairytale classic. Or, you know, Rusty is trying to seduce her. God knows. I don’t think Angelina is his type, first of all, and second of all, I buy that Russell is pretty happily married. People Magazine keeps excerpting more and more from their “Most Beautiful” cover profile of Beyonce. We’ve already heard Beyonce discuss how she’s so “natural” with cutting her own hair and wearing flats, and we’ve already heard Beyonce’s reaction to those “gut full of pillow” rumors ( “it wasn’t hurtful, it was just crazy” ). Now Beyonce is discussing THE BIRTH!! And labor. And how much “weight” she put on (50 pounds!). And she talks about breastfeeding and post-baby workouts. Come on, now, Beyonce-stans! At some point, doesn’t it feel like Beyonce is really going out of her way to convince you of something? When she arrived at the hospital last January, Beyoncé came with the best of intentions for her daughter’s delivery. “I did have a fresh eyebrow wax,” PEOPLE’s 2012 Most Beautiful Woman says with a laugh. “I got my nails done, I got my feet done, had my hair done, and I had my little lip gloss.” But, in the end, Blue Ivy’s birth trumped all the new mom’s primping and prepping to meet her baby girl. “I didn’t feel that I looked beautiful during birth, but who does? After being pumped with all those fluids and gaining so much weight … I barely recognized myself,” she explains. “But after many hours of labor, I could care less about anything but my child. I didn’t care how I looked.” The focus, she adds, was shifted to “the miracle” that she and husband Jay-Z welcomed into the world. “I felt more powerful than I’ve ever felt in my life,” Knowles shares. “I felt connected to my body. I felt like I knew my purpose in the world.” Losing the Baby Weight The singer says she gained 50 pounds during her pregnancy – putting on the last 20 during the final month leading up to the delivery – and was determined to bounce back after baby as soon as possible. “I lost most of my weight from breastfeeding and I encourage women to do it; It’s just so good for the baby and good for yourself,” Knowles, who breastfed Blue for 10 weeks, says. Then, “about a month after” giving birth, the new mom tackled the remaining pounds with a strict diet and exercise routine. “I counted calories. I worked out maybe three to four times a week,” she shares. “I did a lot of walking in the beginning and now I’m running. But I had to work my way up. I couldn’t just go right from being pregnant to running.” All the hard work – including “staying away from anything delicious” and no cheat days – has paid off. “I’m proud that my waist came back so fast. I’m proud of that and happy, but that was mostly from the breastfeeding,” the singer explains. And not only is Knowles just “three to four pounds” away from her pre-pregnancy weight, but she has also acquired a new softness about her voluptuous body. “My hormones are still in my body. Your body produces the hormones that make your body soft,” she says. “It’s just magical. The only thing that got bigger on Beyonce was her pillowy bump, and even if you buy that the bump was real, do you buy that she gained 50 pounds?!? And yes, Beyonce lost the weight quickly. Very quickly. She had her little waist back by March 19 – like, six weeks after the birth. Whatever. Just toss this interview into the Conspiracy Cauldron with all of the other interviews. Exactly one year ago today (April 29), excited viewers around the world gathered near their televisions to watch history in the making as Catherine Elizabeth Middleton married William Arthur Philip Louis Mountbatten-Windsor at the exquisite Westminster Abbey. Since the moment the royal couple said “I do,” the world has been intrigued by watching their every move, including the life of Kate’s younger sister, Pippa Middleton. After helping to walk her sister down the aisle, Pippa became a household name as millions envied her in that gorgeous white bridesmaid dress by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen. Meanwhile, Will and Kate have taken the world by storm, stepping out on two official tours, where the excitement of meeting the couple was counteracted by the same amount of excitement for women everywhere waiting to see what new fashions the Princess would be wearing that day. Though rumors have sparked multiple times that a royal baby is on the way, so far the only new addition to the family is a puppy! Call me crazy, but I don’t hate this choice! Beyonce has been named People Magazine’s “Most Beautiful Woman” for 2012. Previous winners include Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie, and Jennifer Lopez (Most Beautiful in 2011). It’s interesting that People Mag is going back-to-back with women of color, a Latina woman in 2011 and now a African-American woman in 2012. It makes sense to choose Beyonce too – she’s become a mom, she’s trying to be more accessible, and she’s been much more in-our-faces over the past year. Beyonce named People Mag’s Most Beautiful Woman of 2012: great choice?
This story just makes me feel very sad. In the past I’ve pointed out the very obvious ways that Octomom Nadya Suleman is a manipulative person and a baldfaced liar. If you’d like more background, you can visit this earlier post where I recapped some of her doozies. As many of you have mentioned to me, it doesn’t matter how much of a trainwreck she is, we need to focus on her kids. This woman’s primary role is as a single mother to 14 children who need to be loved and cared for. Nadya was delusional enough to get herself into this situation, and she remains delusional enough to stay there and to insist that everything is fine while her kids are really suffering. Her kids have one toilet, they don’t have enough clothes to wear out in the cold, and they’re sleeping on the floor. It’s disturbing. We learned these new details from Nadya’s hairdresser, who told TMZ that she went to the police with her concerns because the children are being neglected. If you’re able to, just watch the interview with the hairdresser below. You can tell she’s fed up with the situation and wants to help the kids. She’s not out to get Nadya or to shame her, she really cares. She said she even offered Nadya some bunkbeds for the children who are sleeping on the floor, but Nadya said everything was fine. Here’s the story thanks to TMZ : TMZ has obtained pictures of Octomom Nadya Suleman’s home that have triggered a police and child services investigation into allegations that her 14 kids are living in horrendous conditions and are being grossly neglected. TMZ broke the story, Octo’s hairstylist, Stephanie, went to La Habra cops Tuesday afternoon and filed a formal complaint. A La Habra cop and 3 reps from the Orange County Department of Children and Family Services went to Octo’s house Tuesday night to investigate. One picture shows two children pooping in a portable training toilet in the backyard. We’re told the plumbing in the house is shot, and only one toilet is operational. Another photo shows Octo just after she got her hair done. What’s shocking is that she locked her kids in the bedroom by propping a chair against the door so they couldn’t get out. Yet another pic shows the children’s bedroom, with 2 cribs and a mattress. Stephanie told cops some of the kids are forced to sleep on the floor. And there’s more … a pic shows some of the kids in the backyard, barefoot, dirty and wearing no pants. [From TMZ ] In terms of the criticism of her parenting, Nadya has previously said that people are jealous of her , that she’s the best mother her kids could have, and that she’s buddy-buddy with the CPS workers, who just laugh off the tips they get about her. As far as her trashed home and lack of toilets or beds for her kids, Nadya showed TMZ her home herself a few months ago as evidence that she shouldn’t have to pay the landlord. Her logic at the time was that her kids had trashed the place so she didn’t have to pay her rent. There’s nothing that can faze her, or else she never would have got into this situation, and it never would have escalated this far in the first place. One more thing, TMZ also has a story and an image of check for $520 that Octo paid the hairstylist for a Brazilian straightening treatment – at the same time she was collecting $2,000 in food stamps a month (she still is) and claiming she was unable to afford $150 to fix the plumbing in her house. I’m trying to be measured and stick to the facts here, but that really makes my blood boil. Why should I be surprised, though? I mean, we already knew this. Is CPS going to do anything about it, and is the alternative better for these poor kids?! I just feel so bad for them. Here’s the interview with the hairstylist.
