I love Jane Fonda. Not because she is a great actress or anything. But because she knows trash when she sees it– the trash in this case being Dina Lohan. Fonda knows that a mother who does coke with her daughter and whores it up with the young men in her daughter’s entourage is not worth wasting time on. Dina used her daughter’s connections to get “exclusive” interviews
with the cast of “Georgia Rule” at its premiere and Jane was NOT impressed. Fonda tried to ignore the annoying and vapid questions Dina asked about what it was like to work with her progeny but Dina persisted. Fonda finally snapped out a one-line answer and walked on. Fonda’s reps claim that all interviews were kept short but we like to hope that the behavior reflects Jane’s good sense.

Dina Lohan and Britney Spears’ mom remind me of the women you meet who either weren’t pretty or popular enough to be a cheerleader in high school, so they push their daughters to do all and accomplish everything they wanted to do. Don’t they realize that their daughter’s trashy behavior is a reflection on them? Or are they so caught up in sharing the limelight and money, that they don’t even care?
