American Idol closed out its 11th season in LA tonight, and crowned Philip Phillips the winner! The two-hour season finale brought out some of music’s biggest stars like Rihanna , Chaka Khan, John Foggerty, and Dream Girls legend Jennifer Holiday who joined finalist Jessica Sachez on stage for an unforgettable duet of “And I’m Telling You.” The judges also got in on the action. Steven Tyler and Aerosmith performed a medley of songs while Jennifer Lopez flashed her abs and got the crowd on their feet with her latest dance track, “Follow the Leader.” The evening was packed with exciting moments, including a marriage proposal. Former contestant Ace Young got down on one knee and popped the question to girlfriend, and Idol ‘s season three runner up, Diana Degarmo. Following the results and Philips emotional performance of his first single, “Home,” he headed backstage to chat with press about his long road to tonight’s finale, and how he’s processing the win. Philip on his big win, “It’s so unreal. . . it hasn’t sunk in yet, it’s just such a blessing to have.” Philip was humble talking about his own success, however Jessica was quick to compliment her competitor saying, “When they announced it was Philip I was so happy. I love him so much, he deserved it. He’s been having to keep up with his health issues, he’s been through a lot more than us both mentally and physically.” Season 11 was full of excitement for the contestants and the judges, however we’ll have to wait and see if J Lo returns for season 12. Making a jaw-dropping exit from her Los Feliz, CA home, Jennifer Love Hewitt was seen heading off to a business meeting on Wednesday afternoon (May 23). The “Client List” stunner looked fabulous in a figure-hugging red scoop neck bandage mini dress and gold and brown strappy heels while she gave the awaiting shutterbugs a smile and wave before heading off. After taking a week hiatus from Twitter to catch up on some relaxation, the 33-year-old star went back to her social media page passing along a hello to her followers this morning tweeting, “Morning everyone! Press day today! Have a magical day!” In career news, as previously reported by GossipCenter, the brunette beauty’s hit Lifetime series has been renewed for a second season. In personal news, the 42-year-old fashionista is apparently having marriage troubles after news released that her husband Gavin Rossdale fathered a daughter with his ex-girlfriend. “Things have gone from bad to worse and they don’t know how to fix it. They’ve been through a lot and while Gwen’s putting on a brave face for the sake of the kids, she’s not sure she can save their marriage,” a source told British magazine Closer. No reports have been released about a potential divorce or separation at this time.

In other news, comedian Tracy Morgan joked on Conan O’Brien last night that he is the Khloe’s father. After rumors surfaced on the season finale of “Khloe and Lamar” that the youngest Kardashian sister may have a different father and Morgan took the opportunity to tease adding, “”Test results just came back. She’s my daughter.” He claimed that the 27-year-old was the result of a “threesome” that also involved O.J. Simpson and that he met “the mom, Krissi” — otherwise known as Kris Jenner — after the Penn Relays in Philadelphia.

Kanye West posed with a Balmain-clad Kim Kardashian at the premiere of his Cruel Summer in Cannes this evening. Jay-Z and Leonardo DiCaprio ‘s pal Lukas Haas were also on hand for the event, which was Kanye’s first at the Cannes Film Festival. Kanye said of the production , “It’s actually kind of surreal seeing the film come to fruition right here. I can dream one day that this will be the way that one day people will watch movies. I want to change what entertainment experiences are like.” Kim and Kanye spent the day together in the South of France and stuck by each other’s side for tonight’s bash as well. We spotted them showing serious PDA and kissing throughout the party.
