Lauren Conrad lit up the cover of Lucky ‘s July issue in leather shorts and a blazer. She posed for the magazine in looks from her Paper Crown collection, which will hit stores this Fall. LC’s juggling her latest design work with her line for Kohl’s, her new website called The Beauty Department, and even a book club. She’s also still filming her reality TV show even though MTV passed on the project earlier this year. LC opened up about her relationship with the network, her motivation to be on The Hills , and also shared her Summer essentials – here’s more of what Lauren Conrad said in Lucky : On hating the gym : “I’m just not a fan of the gym. In fact, I hate it. I understand loving the feeling you get after working out all those endorphins. But going there? It’s the worst.” On why she did The Hills : “I never wanted to end up in entertainment; that wasn’t the goal. I was doing the show to end up in fashion. But I’m totally aware that without The Hills , I wouldn’t be where I am.” On MTV not picking up her show : “It didn’t feel like a perfect fit. New couple Keira Knightley and James Righton kept close as they walked around sunny Venice, CA, on Saturday. The pair, who were first seen out together in April, wrapped their arms around each other and held hands as they spent the afternoon by the famous boardwalk. James, who is the keyboardist for Klaxons, is in LA while Keira works on her latest movie, Seeking a Friend For the End of the World . She’s been filming the dark comedy around town with her costar Steve Carell , and James was seen showering her with affection in between takes on their Malibu set last week. James is the first guy Keira seems to be seriously dating since her split from Rupert Friend, whom she dated for five years. James will be heading back to Europe soon as he preps to take the stage at a Krakow, Poland, music festival with his band this Friday, and perhaps Keira will be able to break from shooting in order to join him overseas. Alexander Skarsgard steamed up the pages of Interview ‘s June/July issue with a sexy, suggestive photo shoot alongside a topless model. The actor, who also posed for GQ ‘s latest cover, will return to the small screen June 26 in True Blood’s fourth season premiere . In the magazine, Alexander opened up to Arcade Fire’s lead singer Win Butler about the love he feels for his fans and why he has no problem facing failure. Alexander doesn’t have much falling short to worry about lately, though, with his small-screen success now affecting his movie career. His new film Melancholia was a critical hit at the Cannes Film Festival and the upcoming Straw Dogs remake hits theaters this Fall. He met his girlfriend, Kate Bosworth , on the latter shoot, but didn’t discuss their relationship in the issue. Alexander Skarsgard said in Interview : On why he’s not tired of True Blood: “I still love it. I was nervous when I first started True Blood because if you do a play or a movie, you know the complete arc of the character. You can see the end. But with a show like True Blood , you don’t know what’s going to happen. I didn’t know how it would be to live with a character for years, because I’ve never experienced that before. What happens if you wake up after two years, and you’re like, ‘Oh, God. I’m over this guy?’ But the writing is so good, and they keep surprising me.” On why he’s not afraid to fail: “Failure is awesome. There’s a Beckett quote, where he said, ‘Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail better.’ I love that quote. I think that’s what it’s all about. Failure is definitely underrated. Just fail again. Fail better.” On why he loves his fans: “I think that meeting fans who feel like they know you and they know everything about you is actually very flattering. It means a lot to know that what you’re doing actually means something to someone. But the thing that I feel to be a problem potentially is that you become that character, that in the industry, people associate it too closely with who you are and what you can do. Josh Hartnett and his girlfriend, Sophia Lie, took a walk in NYC’s West Village on Friday afternoon. The duo were together to kick off their Memorial Day adventures, which actually started on Thursday evening at the Museo de Barrio’s gala in honor of photographer Mario Testino . She and Josh rubbed shoulders with stars like Kate Winslet , Anna Wintour, and Mario himself at the event, where Sophia was one of the many models on hand.
